I say the Rams win because the Raiders starters played too much in the pre-season.
September 6, 2018 at 9:14 pm #90462InvaderRamModeratori am most curious to see samson ebukam. i think he was solid in the preseason. not spectacular. but now he gets to play behind donald, suh, and brockers.
athletically this guy is a beast. i’ve talked about this before, but as excited as everyone was to read about the rams aggressively pursuing mack, the rams have a guy with lots of potential already in samson. mack i think is probably the more fluid athlete. but ebukam has a slight edge in terms of pure explosion. and this guy is about as explosive as they come. you’d be hard pressed to find someone his size with more explosion. at least on paper. and the rams i’m sure were playing vanilla packages in the preseason. i imagine. and especially now with donald back and a true starting front seven surrounding ebukam. that sonofbum has designed a bunch of ways to let ebukam loose.
seriously guys. this guy is an uber athlete. of course that doesn’t guarantee success. but if any dcoordinator can tap into that immense talent it’s gotta be sonofbum.
beyond that. i’m excited to see this secondary – particularly marcus peters and john johnson. i think we know what we’ll get with the rest of the secondary. but these two have the most untapped potential.
and again. it’s obviously an exciting prospect seeing donald and suh play next to each other, but i don’t think we should be too surprised by what we’ll see. of course i don’t think a lot of us will have seen anything like it. maybe except for the older generation who saw deacon and merlin lining up next to each other. but me? i haven’t seen that in my lifetime. and i probably will never see anything like it again for my entire existence as a rams fan. so i gotta savor it… assuming it goes the way i think it will.
i can’t wait any longer. it’s just all i think about at the moment.

September 7, 2018 at 3:04 am #90474Eternal RamnationParticipantI only want them touching the field with their feet one foot at a time for very small amounts of time milliseconds. with 2 yards between each touch. Ebukam will not be stopped. I wanna see Cooks and Goff hook up on a deep td or 3 just like Hadl to Jackson against Dallas !

Raiderdamus’ Friday Foretelling: Raiders vs. Rams
The Raiders may have just traded the best edge rusher in the NFL, but the Rams have avoided that problem by not employing any edge rushers at all. …..
This is funny. Read the whole thing and look at the pictures. 😉
September 10, 2018 at 6:42 am #90625nittany ramModeratorFor you east coasters who have to work tomorrow AM, how much of the game do you think you can watch?
I’m shooting for the first quarter. Will tape the rest.

I read that the Rams made inquiries, but weren’t really seriously pursuing him. They were never among the teams that were in the running for him.

I think they were serious. They weren’t in the running because Oakland thinks their picks would be too low.
On the game.
I will watch the whole thing.
I never go to bed till 2 AM anyway so it’s nothing new.

September 10, 2018 at 4:09 pm #90637OzonerangerParticipantAs always, I won’t be comfortable until the Rams are up by four scores. And I need a huge night from the D and Cooks. Like a War of the Worlds miracle.
I will then, and only then, enjoy my baked chicken.
Edit: Kinda sucks for you lads on the EC.

From now on the predictions thread is yours to start. Okay?
September 11, 2018 at 2:08 am #90669ZooeyModeratorOn Mack, Adam Schefter says the Rams offered a 1st and 3rd with the idea they would trade him after the year for approximately the same thing. And just get him for a year.
Not a bad gamble, imo.

I thought about that.
The only way it works is if Mack agrees to play without an extension.
Unless they intended to sign him to an extension and then trade him contract and all.
