December 23, 2016 at 9:34 pm #61629JackPMillerParticipantThere are two weeks left, does it really matter? I believe the players want the season to end, so they can recharge and find out who will be coaching them next year. Just saying.

? Wichman hasn’t played. The ROG has been Donnal.

It matters to players. Nobody ever wants to be benched, especially when it’s due to their performance. That’s about the most humiliating thing that can happen to a player.

I guess Donnal beat out Wichmann and this sort of makes it official? Wasn’t Wichmann the starter for a time?

For most of the season ROG was either Wichmann or Brown, mostly Wichmann.
Donnal started there in both the Atlanta and Seattle games.
But I guess what this means is that with Robinson down, Saffold goes to LOT, and then Brown replaces him at guard, not Wichmann.
That’s just a guess.

That makes sense.
December 24, 2016 at 8:07 am #61656wvParticipantGreg Robinson benched again? Man. I dunno what to say about that guy.
Major disappointment. Gurley and Robinson — major disappointments.
I REALLY am interested in what the next coach does with regard to those two.

vgrob has to go. i still hold out hope for gurley.
i keep asking but i’m not sure i got an answer but did boras keep the zbs from last year?
December 24, 2016 at 8:48 am #61659InvaderRamModeratorrams priority should be fixing the oline. they need a new left tackle, a new center, and a new guard. get rid of grob, barnes, and saffold. i like saffold, but he gets injured way too often.
i wonder what free agents are available.
December 24, 2016 at 12:27 pm #61667PA RamParticipantIt sort of feels like they’re done with Robinson. Maybe the next coach will have a different take. But at least for now–they’re done with him.
Gurley REALLY bothers me. I hope the heck they can save him and bring him back. I just don’t get what’s going on with him at all. It isn’t ALL the o-line. I just don’t know.
Gurley has a 3.2 yard average.
Cunningham has a 4.8
Austin has a 5.7
That may or may not be fair but it just seems like Gurley is missing holes–if he’s looking at all because sometimes he seems to just put his helmet on the back of a lineman and surges forward, or he just doesn’t have the speed or quickness to break through. I am really concerned about him.

Move GRob to LG. Look for a left Tackle, draft or free agency.

it’s not all the oline. i think the la lifestyle maybe was too much of a distraction? he’s gotta refocus this offseason or something. i hope he isn’t putting all the blame on the oline. he’s gotta take responsibility.
