A good solid game. Their best all around game this year. Our kicker is past his due date.

Donald played. Floyd hogged all the sacks.

Good team win. Defense played great.

Offense moved the ball, probably should have scored a bit more against this defense.

They blitzed the hell out of Goff and he made them pay over and over .Williams actually had 3 picks one a pick 6 that was called back (Floyd left early).2nd Half D is just scary good. Good bounce back win.Reynolds has been great this season. Mcvay slipped into his conservative shell on the first drive. Since Reynolds was on fire and is a red zone matchup nightmare I would have liked to see a couple throws go to him instead of the predictable runs that were called and quickly stuffed. Any time you knock the hags out of first place it’s going to be a.good game. Big Wit going down was about the only bummer.

There’s a Baldinger breakdown vid on that in this thread: http://theramshuddle.com/topic/highlights-play-break-downs-seattle-game/#post-124446

    Brian Baldinger@BaldyNFL
@RamsNFL @Leonard90Flo having a great year and a big day; but @AaronDonald97 draws a whole bunch of attention to make it happen. #BaldysBreakdowns

Watched the replay. I agree with Aikman, that Russell Wilson just seemed ‘off’ all game long. He kinda looked zombie-like on the sidelines to me, like he was sick or somethin. I know the Rams D played well, but I think it was more than the Rams D that was affecting Wilson.

Seahawks are a long way from the Legion of Boom. I remember when that D had so much intensity, and they stuffed the run back then too. Now, they are a mess, granted they have key injuries.

Rams offense is a beautiful thing to watch when they can run. Though, i suppose every offense looks good against that Defense.

Aikman always calls Robert Woods ‘unselfish’. He calls him that five times a game. I guess thats Aikman-speak for “a great blocker.” Woods is unlike any Ram WR i can think of. I’m not saying he’s the best, but he’s different. I cant think of any Ram WR that turns into a RB the way Woods does. He does not run like a WR. He’s got moves, he’s physical, he’s got a RB’s vision.
And of course, he may be the best blocking WR the Rams have ever had.
And his route-running is probly in the top-five. Maybe not as good as Ike, or Ellard, but its in the top 5.

The Rams just got worse, on offense, obviously, losing Whitworth. Dangerous waters ahead for Goff.

I thought Brockers played very well. Floyd made the splash plays, but i thought Brockers had a great game.

Williams looks like an all-pro to me. Which would be ridiculous.

I’ve been saying the exact same thing for a couple of game chats now. He is more like a back with the ball in his hands than any Rams WR I can think of, going as far back as I can go.

Seahawks game-planned Donald out…at the cost of six sacks, and zero TDs after their first drive of the game.

That’s a steep price to pay just to keep AD’s name out of the stat line.

this defense can get better. and that’s crazy. this was a big test. and they showed a lot. but i still came away feeling like this defense can get better. and that wouldn’t be a terrible thing.

what is terrible is losing whit. i think this offense struggles even more. i think goff suffers. i will be rooting for noteboom though.

He ain’t Whit but I think Noteboom will be ok. It will be even more important to establish the running game now though. Mix things up offensively to keep defenses from teeing off. Tough test this week against the Bucs.

No, thats revisionist history. You said he was better than Chuck Norris.
I said he was better than Jim Brown.

    Game 9 analysis … Seahawks

I am always confident playing the Seahawks. We’ve just made a habit of beating them. The one game we didn’t recently (that cost us a playoff spot) I thought Russell played better than I’d ever seen him play against us and GZ missed a 47 yarder that would have won it …

They had been running on offense overdrive and I expected our DBs to shut them down.

    The Truly Amazing

    1) Darious Williams. I felt cool at first when he was being mentioned because I loved his skillset at UAB and thought he had a shot to make a roster. But I’m hard pressed to think of another undrafted CB having the year he is having. He should be a pro bowler this year even as an unknown. There’s another thread that shows that he has the best (41.4) QB rating among all CBs, but it needs to be noted that 4th and 5th place were in the high 50s. That’s a 20 point spread in the top 5 players. His acceleration to and through these diving breakups and INTs are stunning, and his field awareness seems to be improving also. Im no longer interested in even discussing contracts for the “big 3” … I’m only concerned with trying to sneak a cap friendly extension to him before his market value prices him out of our range. I figure we can tender him with a second rounder (after next year at almost no cost) and get an even higher pick for him when a huge offer comes through, but I’d love to get him a big guarantee and signing bonus NOW and spread the damage out over six years. I’m sure the brass is having this discussion also. What was the best play? The peel off TE INT? The PBU on Lockett in the end zone? The diving INT?

    The Great

    2) Floyd’s sacks. First off, sacking Russell isn’t easy. Second, he’s outpacing my guess at 10.5 sacks for the year for him, and IMO is handling the run just fine. I may be out of my depth here, as I didn’t watch him in Chicago, but it seems like he has an extra move or two in comparison to the beginning of the year. I expect a 3rd round comp for him too in a few years.

    3) Terrell Lewis getting more comfy. I like the sacks, I’m not worried about those … I like him getting more snaps.

    4) Ramsey on Metcalf. I had a ton of fun watching them show the inability of Metcalf to uncover. It was satisfying.

    5) Our safeties. As I said before, I don’t think we’ve had a better DB room ever. Multiple injuries, next man up, even Nick Scott, gets it done.

    The Good

    6) Josh Reynolds putting up good tape. He seems to finally be comfortable at this level and is playing well. Happy for him, and for our 3rd rounder in 2022.

    7) Noteboom in and serviceable. Of course we’ll see how he plays when they start game planning for him … but it was a hopeful start.

    8) Akers getting more comfy.

    9) A Shawn getting on the field.

    10) Hekker.

    The Bad

    11) I didn’t like the rushing TD by Collins. We didn’t seem ready to tackle him.

    12) Don’t like losing Rapp during this stretch of games. We’re asking a lot of our depth players. Don’t get me wrong, I have faith that Juju Hughes can come in and get meaningful snaps … I’d just rather have my full compliment against Tom Brady and Kyler Murray.

    13) Goff missed a TD throw to Higbee to go underneath … why he wasn’t ready to throw the six pointer I am not sure, but he can’t miss those.

    14) DH missed running lanes twice.

    15) Another Everett drop.

    The Ugly

    16) Goff’s like 50th fumble.

    17) We are a top ten NFL team with a shot at a deep playoff run, and we don’t have a kicker.
