Well, I want them to. Let’s see if that counts.

Which is why they won’t be over 0.500 for long.
If the game was in LA I would give the Rams the nod but I don’t like them facing an Arizona team at home that has their backs against the wall. Bruce Aryans doesn’t like Fisher and these teams don’t like each other. I think Arizona will be ready to play.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.
Sprinkles are for winners.
September 27, 2016 at 8:22 am #53973PA RamParticipantI think it’s tough. Second road game against a desperate opponent. And they traveled from west to east–back to west and that Tampa game was draining. The defense won the Seahawks game and at the end the defense had to win the Tampa game. They are going to need the offense to truly step up–control the clock and win one. I’m not sure they can do it this week against the Cards.
I expect a loss this week.
I hope I’m wrong.

September 27, 2016 at 12:11 pm #53992canadaramParticipantThey did it last year, but I don’t see how they do it this year. I expect a big game from David Johnson. At least one of their WRs will have a big day as well. John Brown and Larry Fitzgerald will be their usual handfuls as well. Calais Campbell will be seemingly be everywhere.
September 27, 2016 at 12:19 pm #53994ZooeyModeratorI just don’t see them winning on the road against a very good football team that just got embarrassed last week, and is looking up at a division rival that they hate. The term Must Win is going to flung around, and Arians is a very good coach. The Rams offense hasn’t shown it can compete against a good defense, and the Cards are good.
I hope the Rams don’t get embarrassed.
September 27, 2016 at 12:31 pm #53996wvParticipantWell, after three games, the Rams have given up:
0 – 28
9-3
37-32What does it mean? What ‘is’ this team? I dunno yet.
Quinn is back, and that is a HUGE positive. Makes a world of difference to know you can count on him for a couple of game-changing plays per game.
The OLine is healthy — that is huge. I would think the more that young group plays together the better they will get. I think thats a reasonable expectation.
Gaines might help a lot (or hurt a lot, we dunno yet)
What i want to see is mistake-free football on offense,
and i wanna see a big pass rush on Carson Palmer.
I think the pass-rush and run-defense will have to win this one.I’m gonna pretend like they’ve turned the corner
and say:Rams – 24
Cards – 21w
vSeptember 27, 2016 at 4:32 pm #54005WinnbradParticipantNo. The Rams are about to get a beatdown of epic proportions. This will be a nightmare that will linger with all of us for the rest of our lives. Even our grandchildren will be afraid to whisper of it.
Time will not heal this.
We are doomed.
Now go enjoy the game!

Last year at this time, people gave the Rams less than a zero chance of beating the undefeated Cardinals in Arizona. No one in the seven kingdoms would wager a copper that they would win. And yet . . . Same thing when they went into Seattle to play a red hot Seahawks team heading into the playoffs. Well Arizona is the Mountain, and the Rams are the Red Viper of Dorne. How do I know you ask?
It’s what I do. I drink and I know things.

September 27, 2016 at 5:11 pm #54007OzonerangerParticipantThe Rams go into AZ and drop a log, falling behind 13-0 after one quarter. Keenum looks dreadful – like Steve Dils. Fisher sends in the rook, who throws three touchdowns and has LA (still feels weird writing that) leading late in the fourth, 27-21.
On the last drive, Carson Palmer leads the Cardinals inexorably downfield but the defense stalls them and they get a final chance at the end zone from the 25 with three seconds remaining. Palmer drops back, heaves it into the end zone right into the hands of Larry Fitzgerald…
”’who drops the ball.
Rams win.

Very plausible until you said Fitzgerald drops the ball.

This is a mirror of Jim Everett’s first game as a Ram against the Patriots in 1986. Only the receiver held on to the hail mary.
September 27, 2016 at 7:59 pm #54011JackPMillerParticipantI was going to ask something similar. Wondering if the Rams come back down to earth, or remain on cloud nine? I think that is the saying in some way.
I got to say no. I predicted the Cardinals would win the Superbowl before the season started, and got to stick with them as a professional analysis. As a fan, I root for the Rams. So, I’m one messed up person. Just to let you know.

wondering if the oline can work out some kinks before this sunday.
October 1, 2016 at 10:08 am #54187sdramParticipant?? – I think they can win if they can hold the AZ offense in check. Their pass d wasn’t exactly stellar last week. But, I think it’s not in the Cards for the Rams to win in AZ this season.
I’ll guess AZ 27, Los Angeles Rams 13

Can we make a rule that going forward, only Rams fans will be allowed to post here?
