Solid game, 3rd in a row.
Great, great game from Nacua and from Stafford, who found big plays when he needed them. McVay stuck with the run and it helped.
December 3, 2023 at 7:58 pm #147191InvaderRamModeratorwow. what a performance. flacco looked solid through three quarters but went completely flaccid in the fourth quarter.
nacua is tough. these young players. these under the radar pickups all showed up. kobie turner. on fire. we could go on probably. so happy.
December 3, 2023 at 7:58 pm #147192canadaramParticipantMy prediction for the Rams back in August was 3 to 5 wins, so they have officially exceeded my expectations for the season. The Rams offense seemed dead in the water during the middle third of the game. That could have been because of Nacua being out for some of it, but the multiple false start penalties didn’t help either. That said, the Rams didn’t give up a sack all day, so there is something to be said about that. Stafford got bailed out on a couple of potential INTs, one of which looked like a pick 6. The Rams secondary looked vulnerable on both of the Browns scoring drives. Seems like a healthy offense with a quality quarterback should be able to inflict some damage against this unit. Yeah, they only gave up 19 points though, so I guess I should be happy. This season has gone better than I thought it would. I love Puka Nacua.

There is a path to the playoffs which, at the beginning of the season I didn’t expect. Good for them.

that was my prediction too. but i had no idea nacua would be as good as he is. same with kyren williams. kobie turner. steve avila. dotson and witherspoon. this very young secondary. byron young has potential.
i still think they need to shore up the oline. the front seven needs some fortification. but these last two drafts have answered a lot of questions for me. i did not expect this. i expected some to hit. but not to this degree.
December 3, 2023 at 8:18 pm #147199nittany ramModerator<yawn> 3 straight wins.
December 3, 2023 at 9:33 pm #147205joemadParticipantYou’re right IR, Joe Flacco was picking the Rams apart, until he got picked.
Rams Oline played great today….I don’t recall Stafford getting sacked today against that great Cleveland pass defense.
Rams face the original Cleveland Browns next…. The Ravens in Baltimore. Bring ’em on

they did. i’m not entirely sure i trust jackson though. i do admit though that he played tough against myles garrett – although a myles garrett who was likely not 100%.

December 3, 2023 at 10:17 pm #147207ZooeyModeratorThe game was closer than the final score. Cleveland kind of folded up like a cheap lawn chair in a hurricane for whatever reason.
The INT was huge. It just seemed like Cleveland lost the will to fight after that.
The first 2/3 of the game just looked like the tight game I expected.
The Rams are playing into December, and that’s very cool. I’d like to think that they have a chance against the Ravens, but they don’t. I’ll be happy if the Rams make a game of it.

i agree. and i agree about how close the game actually was.
December 4, 2023 at 11:58 am #147235wvParticipantStafford makes talented WR’s look even better, doesnt he. Tutu, Puka, Higby, Kupp. These receivers are all very talented obviously, but man, Stafford just zings the ball into dead-perfect spots. Puka does not score on that 70 yarder unless Stafford zings it perfectly and hits Puka in stride. EXACTLY ‘in stride’. I mean, that shit is the difference in close games. A healthy stafford is THE best Pocket-passer in the NFL, I’d say, now that Brady has retired. All that experience and game-wisdom mixed with that arm talent, mixed with the gunslinger-guts. He’s the best pocket QB.
Usually i feel bad for a team playing without their top QB, but its hard for me to care about Deshawn Watson. 230 million dollars guaranteed for a dickish QB.
I shall now root for Cleveland in the AFC. Now that they have been vanquished and cleansed.
Ravens, Commanders, Saints, Giants, 49ers. Very very interesting schedule, aint it. I mean, just on paper it looks like two sure losses, two ‘sure’ wins, and one up for grabs. Saints would be up for grabs. If the Rams can manage 3 wins, they finish 9-8. A winning record for McVay in this year of low expectations. Something to root for. A winning season.
Course all that is ‘on paper’. They could lose to Washington. They could beat SF. Who the fuck knows.
Interesting year. Will be an interesting off-season.

December 4, 2023 at 9:13 pm #147270InvaderRamModeratori wanna see them get a winning record. make the playoffs. doesn’t matter much how they do in the playoffs because i don’t think they’re good enough to win a superbowl. but a winning record will tell me that this team is on the right track. that the past two drafts and offseasons were home runs.
Will be an interesting off-season.
yeah. they’re gonna have to hit another home run. should be exciting.
December 4, 2023 at 9:24 pm #147273znModeratoryeah. they’re gonna have to hit another home run. should be exciting.
My take on that is simple. If they did it before they can do it again. 2023 wasn’t luck. They hit on a lot of players both in the draft and in trades and bargain free agency (well except a kicker). So it’s in them to do it again.
