October 8, 2016 at 3:44 pm #54776znModeratorI think that means that either Quinn or Hayes or both won’t be up and going for this game.
Why else promote a DE like Fox.

Ugh. Not good. We need Quinn. We need Hayes too, but losing Quinn hurts more.

Alden Gonzalez
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — This Sunday’s matchup against Rex Ryan’s Buffalo Bills may carry some extra motivation for Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald — and that may be necessary.
The Rams could be severely shorthanded along their defensive line.
Injury Wire
Robert Quinn, Will Hayes and Michael Brockers all sat out practice on Friday and are all questionable for this Sunday’s 1:25 p.m. PT kickoff from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Quinn and Hayes, the Rams’ two defensive ends, didn’t practice at all this week. Brockers, the defensive tackle who was given a three-year extension in the middle of September, was merely a limited participant on Wednesday.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher hinted that the team is simply being cautious.
“We have a tendency of healing up,” Fisher said. “We still have some time. It’s about being smart.”
Hayes injured his ankle in Week 3 and only re-entered the game because Eugene Sims had been thrown out. That might have caused him to re-aggravate the injury, which forced him to miss the Week 4 game in Arizona and could prompt him to also sit out Week 5. Quinn is listed with a shoulder injury, one he suffered Sunday before re-entering the game. Brockers has a hip injury, according to the team’s injury report.
The Rams’ defensive line is especially deep and has served as the major reason they’ve gone on a three-game winning streak that has them 3-1 for the first time in 10 years.
But defensive coordinator Gregg Williams constantly rotates defensive linemen over the course of a game, and the absence of Quinn, Hayes or Brockers will lead to a heavier workload for the likes of Dominique Easley, Cam Thomas, Ethan Westbrooks, Matt Longacre and Sims. And it could create even more attention on Donald, who already faces an inordinate amount of double- and triple-teams.
The Rams sound hopeful that won’t be an issue.
“If they could practice, they would,” Fisher said of Quinn, Hayes and Brockers. “But we’re concerned about Sunday.”

I was wondering if they were going to make a move with Sens after he went from starter to not even activated.

You know, this is how bad they wanted to dump CS. It actually costs the Rams cap space to cut him. No savings; they take a 650,000 hit.

October 8, 2016 at 11:09 pm #54819HramParticipantThe young duck CB played better than expected making him expendable. I’m glad the Rams can admit he was not value added and were willing to jettison him.

I am not sorry the Sensabaugh era has ended.
He was not my favorite player.

Rams release Coty Sensabaugh four games into three-year deal
By Alden Gonzalez
ESPN Staff WriterLOS ANGELES — The Rams released cornerback Coty Sensabaugh on Saturday, less than seven months after signing him to a three-year deal that was worth upward of $19 million.
To take Sensabaugh’s spot on the 53-man roster, the Rams promoted defensive lineman Morgan Fox from the practice squad.
Fox, an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State-Pueblo, dominated in the preseason finale against the Minnesota Vikings, with two sacks, two tackles for loss and four quarterback hits.
Now he’ll provide depth for a defensive line that could be without three starters for Sunday’s home game against the Buffalo Bills, with Will Hayes (ankle), Robert Quinn (shoulder) and Michael Brockers (hip) all questionable after barely practicing this week.
Sensabaugh will earn $4.5 million for his time with the Rams, a figure that includes a $1 million guaranteed base salary and a $3.5 million guaranteed roster bonus, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan. Sensabaugh is also owed a $1 million roster bonus next March.
Coty Sensabaugh quickly was left without a role with the Rams and now he’s been left without a team after his release Saturday.
Sensabaugh had been left without a role and wasn’t even active this past Sunday. The 27-year-old came over after playing mostly as the inside corner on nickel packages during his first four years with the Tennessee Titans. But Lamarcus Joyner has thrived in that role with the Rams, and E.J. Gaines has returned from injury to start as the second outside corner, opposite Trumaine Johnson.
Sensabaugh started in Gaines’ spot during the season opener but was benched in favor of Troy Hill, an undrafted free agent, early in Week 2 and didn’t take a single snap on defense in Week 3. Sensabaugh then did not dress for the Week 4 matchup against the Cardinals from University of Phoenix Stadium.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher attributed that to injuries, prompting him to activate additional linemen to help on special teams and indicated that Sensabaugh could be active this Sunday.
.
“Coty has a role, and Coty’s done fine,” Fisher said then. But the Rams’ injuries on the defensive line, not to mention Sensabaugh’s own ineffectiveness in coverage, prompted a split.
Coty done fine.
