I have been a Rams fan for 29 years, since I was 7 years old. I have never had a 4 game stretch do to me what this 4 game stretch has done … the combination of having hope in the franchise, the QB, and the season … and losing all of it. So … while I was trying to get the others out of the way, this one I could barely even bring myself to do, hence the lateness.

One thing I’m going to say out front, I have no interest in firing Fisher, or even thinking about a new coach … not just because I like Fisher personally, but because his hiring for me always signaled a move back to L.A. , and Im guessing he sticks through it with us till then. Also? I am a HUGE fan of continuity … *see Marvin Lewis.

    The Good

    1) Our secondary is so good that we are going to be in good shape regardless of what happens. Jenks and Tru, if we happen to lose both in a weird worst case scenario? Thats two high draft picks we get back and Gaines/Joyner to keep in the meantime. Odds are though we keep one.

    2) Aaron Donald and Quinn are ours.

    3) Gurley is a beast.

    The Bad

    4) a lot. Most everything honestly.

    The Ugly

    5) Playcalling is a joke.

    6) QB play is so bad that I cannot believe that genetically it is the same human being. I may actually start calling him “Robot Imposter Foles”.

    7) We have no receivers we can depend on except a vet we signed off the street.

    The Abysmal

    8) The Oline issues … Greg Robinson is consistently a weak link .. and he’s the ONLY legit expected starter thats healthy. I have no idea how we get a #2 overall OLT AGAIN that is a project we can’t convert into a starter. Injuries up and down the line? check … in fact … along with GRob … checkmate.

    9) a) We’re gonna start Keenum this week if he’s healthy …
    b) I would actually consider starting Mannion, and I didn’t even want to draft him.

    10) Our franchise is so destroyed that I don’t know if a coach would actually come IF we fired Fisher. Who wants the headache?

    11) The fan letdown. We were ready to roll this year. Now we’re embarrassed that we had hope. I’m embarrassed.

    So much truth it hurts.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

    Sprinkles are for winners.
