That was closer than I like. Again. 😎

I give ARZ credit, they brought it.

Once again special teams comes through. The blocked extra point forced ARZ into 4th down tries, and once again the Rams come through on 4th downs.

I look forward to everyone’s reactions!

    Yes zn…special teams delivered… Cards didn’t roll over…

BTW Witherspoon’s TD should’ve been a touchback… the ball hit the pylon..

Rams offense needs to wake up soon…

    RAMS defense > 10 points for 3 straight games…

Anyway.., GO Bills, Browns, Commanders and or Vikes…

    GO RAMS!!!

Lordy, the offense has been bad for several weeks now and bad weather didn’t factor in for this one. The 3-and-out after the Kinchens interception was particularly painful. Hopefully Havenstein’s injury isn’t long term. If the Rams get at the minimum 3 wins they from either the Commanders, Vikings, Browns, Bills or 49ers, I’ll be fine with them resting him next week against Seattle. I don’t want to watch Noteboom start in the playoffs.

Happy to see the young guys on defense continue to make plays in important games. That bodes well for the future of the defense. Another game without a sack for Verse though.

    Good game from Karty.

noteboom was horrible. kinchens shoulda knocked the ball down? but maybe better to secure the possession instead of something crazy happening?

    but yay.

I’ll take the victory (all hail the defense) but the pass offense is dead in the water.

Kupp is a mere shadow of himself. A wraith. Cooper Wraith. Outside of Puka, no one seems to be able to get separation. I wonder if defenses have figured out how to take advantage of the lack of speed the Rams have at WR, and since the TEs and RBs don’t really figure into the passing attack very much, the offense is getting stymied.

They should be able to light up Phoenix’s defense, right? I mean, Carolina lit up that defense just last week.

Happy for the win but if the Rams do make the playoffs they’ll be one and done if they can’t revive their pass offense.

To sum up, hurrah win, huzzah defense, boo offense.

    From another thread:

Rams defense gave up some yards, but not points. Rams limiting explosives last few weeks — defensive is playing so well ….

Points. On defense, there’s a stat called “NFL Team Opponent Red Zone Scoring Percentage (TD only).” At this moment the stats don’t include today’s game. But looking just at the last three games before this one, Rams rank 1st–with 28.57%.

My bet is that this game both maintains that ranking and makes the percentage even lower.

Gutty, ugly, defensive win over a division opponent. Cool.

40 plus points against the Bills. And now…this. Can McVay fix it? He hasnt in three games, now.

I assume Kupp is playing injured, as per usual.

The front four is just fun to watch, when they are not screwing up.

The thing I am most impressed with is the front four are FAST. None of them are plodders. They fly around. I dunno if the Rams have ever had a faster DLine.

10-6. After 1-4. Awesome. And yet, i still dont really know what this team is, exactly. I mean, six weeks ago, all anyone could talk about was the powerful offense, and flawed defense. Now, what are they?

I am old school. To me, if a ball hits the ground, its not an interception.

    They are just winning. Amazing.

I’m unsure of their ceiling and I doubt they are suddenly going to put it all together for a deep playoff run, but I am enjoying the wins however they occur.

I subscribed to NFL+ to be able to watch the game later in the night, and let me tell you that the playback is terrible.

Anyway. I didn’t think the defense was going to be the stronger unit on this team, especially now that the OL is back, and Higbee (where was he?) and just missing Hav does not account for this team’s lack of offensive juice.

True, its not just on Hav, but I will say this – he has been very valuable this year. The difference when he’s not in there, is pretty stark.

Draft a tackle with the first pick?

yeah. it’s not just hav. coop has declined. overall they lack speed. i agree with nittany.

Winning ugly is still winning, so I’ll gladly take it.

Agree about needing more team speed. The Rams go mostly by GPS metrics, which work if done in game-time conditions, but not at the Combine, IMO. The whole point should be to test with pads on, etc., etc. I think Cooper and Puka had solid scores at the Senior Bowl, but have forgotten if they were in full uniform or just practice clothes. Puka shows good speed on Sundays, but not elite. The Rams need some elite speed to open things up. An Atwell, but with size.

Maybe they can trade Joe Noteboom for Justin Jefferson?

No way. You don’t trade a franchise lineman like that for just another receiver.
