Wow, don’t you kind of hope the Seahawks win for the draft pick, but lose for playoff positioning?

    Very conflicting.

I wonder if its possible, that the Rams might play the Seahawks And 49ers in the playoffs?

    A tie might work.

I’d rather have the Seahawks lose, though. Playoff positioning is more important than draft positioning.

    Hall of Fame semi-finalists.

I do not want to see Vinatieri make the hall of fame.

Earl Thomas might be the best of that bunch, i dunno.

I think Torry might make it this year.

Did the Lions have any injuries last night against Dalls?
    —-
    A.I.

    Yes, the
Detroit Lions had a significant injury during their win over the Dallas Cowboys last night (Thursday, Dec 4, 2025), with star safety Brian Branch being carted off with an ankle injury, adding to existing absences like Kerby Joseph and Kalif Raymond, and rookie safety Thomas Harper also left with a brain injury early in the game, according to Yahoo Sports and Pride Of Detroit.

The Lions scored a lot of points. Maybe they’re tired.

Unfortunately, they have an extra 3 days before they kickoff again.

    from https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6866949/2025/12/06/nfl-rumors-news-tom-brady-raiders-daniel-jones-roommate/

    • Cleveland’s Myles Garrett is 3.5 sacks shy of the single-season record, jointly held by Michael Strahan (2001) and T.J. Watt (2021). His next opponent? Titans rookie Cam Ward, who has taken more sacks than any other quarterback in the league (48). Keep in mind, Garrett already has two games this season in which he registered four-plus sacks.

Man, Chris Simms was not pulling any punches on the Eagles offense issue. I dont know what to think, though. He could be right. But then, how is it that Jalen Hurts has looked awesome in two Super Bowls and various playoff games. And he looked awfully good torching the Rams in the second half of that game.

Ive kinda gone back and forth on this one. If i had to speculate though, I’d say the problem is more than just Hurts is limited in some way.

IMO? They could get away with a simpler, less complicated offense when they had the best OL in the game. Their OL has declined. Cosell has talked about that. It’s no longer dominant. That means that there’s more pressure on the passing game, which in turn means that Simms point about Hurts limiting the offense comes much more into play.

I think against the Eagles at the start of the season, the Rams were in their traditional “McVay starts the season slow before the bye” routine, though at a higher level than the previous couple of years. In previous years, anyone could beat them in their “starting the season slow” mode. This year, it was just the Eagles and 9ers who could do that. The point being, I think that game reflected more on the Rams than on the Eagles.

And remember, the Rams win that game – if not for the blocked kicks.

True. But at the same time, they had a problem with their kicking game and entered the season not even realizing it till it bit them. There’s just ways the McVay Rams enter the season not fully ready to go, and then they fix it at the bye. This year, that was one of the issues.

Colts rule QB Daniel Jones out with an Achilles injury. Not great.

    Sam Monson@SamMonsonNFL
The Colts went from the No. 1 seed to a team that probably won’t make the playoffs anymore and don’t have any QB in like a month.

    Freaking wild turnaround.

That early season 14-9 win over the Texans looks pretty good right now. Houston has beaten the Ravens, Jags, 49ers, Bills, Colts, Chiefs…

    Seattle beat them 27-19.

The play the Cardinals and Raiders next.

It would not shock me, if the Texans won the AFC.

Yeah Texans are shadowing Denver and could take their place as one of the 2 AFC teams one would expect to be in the conference championship game (the other being New England).

OTOH, though, KC was not well positioned defensively to take advantage of Houston’s offensive mediocrity.

All the top favorite teams this year–New England, Denver, Houston, Green Bay, Seattle–have top 10 defenses. The Rams are one of the top 6 favorites of course but are the only one of the 6 that doesn’t quite have a top 10 defense (13th in yards) but close enough since they’re 3rd in points.

I remember being a little disappointed in the way the Rams offense and Stafford performed in the Texan game but look at Mahommes stats:
160 yards, zero TDs, 3 INTs, 19.8 rating.

Granted KC’s Oline was a MASH unit, but we all know OLines dont really matter.

    MVP for Drake May?

Stafford has gone up against 5 teams so far in the top 10 in Defense-Points-per-game. Houston, Seattle, 49ers, Jags, Eagles.
Drake May has gone against Zero.

Stafford has gone up against 1 team in the bottom 6 in Defense-points-allowed-per game.
Drake May has played 4 of the bottom six already, with 2 more coming.

    Drake May’s 2025 cupcakes.

So what’s all this bullshit you posted about the Rams being #1 on defense?

    #1 according to what metric?
