The #Jets are the 1st team with just 1 takeaway through the 1st 11 games of a season since 1938.

Sources: The #Seahawks are signing veteran RB Cam Akers to their active roster.

Akers, still just 26, spent time with the Vikings this season and now joins 8–3 Seattle for RB depth

    from Nate Atkins: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6837547/2025/11/26/rams-stats-six-game-win-streak/?source=emp_shared_article

    22-9

That’s the record of the Rams’ past three opponents in games other than against Los Angeles. Those opponents were the 49ers, Seahawks and Buccaneers.

The story of the early portion of this six-game winning streak was about the Rams overwhelming undermanned teams. They faced the Ravens without Lamar Jackson and a Saints team that is now 2-9 and had quarterback Tyler Shough making his first career start.

But the past three weeks, the Rams have outscored three playoff-caliber teams by a combined 45 points.

    Lions getting some help.

“..As vaguely indicated by the Lions’ social media accounts and confirmed by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, former All-Pro center Frank Ragnow is shockingly unretiring to come back and play for Detroit. Ragnow, 29, was drafted by the Lions and spent seven excellent seasons leading what would turn into a dominant offensive line. He was widely recognized as one of the best centers in the league throughout his career and earned three second-team All-Pro nods in recognition of that.”

Now, let’s step back to assess the info. Insiders mainly get their info from agents. This likely came from Geno’s agent who has reason to say “Chip was the problem not Geno.” Normally, I’d say let’s wait and see but the film agrees with the info.

But with all this info agreeing with the film, and feeling like it’s impossible for Geno to be THIS bad after looking so much better recently, I would venture to guess the Raiders look like a different team on offense now.

6-3-1 Packers outplaying the 6-4 Lions in the first half.

The NFL has officially designated this one of their “determining playoff seeding behind the Rams” games.

    So it has some interest.

Very surprised by the Bears win over Philly. I really thought Chicago was the weakest of the playoff contenders. I guess they are for real.

That even puts the Bears ahead of GB and Detroit in their division. They are competing with Seattle for the 2nd seed in the NFC.

Against the Eagles, Bears RB Kyle Monangai got 130 yards on 22 carries, and D’Andre Swift got 125 yards on 18 carries. Caleb Williams didn’t even complete 50% of his passes, but didn’t have to apparently.

Yeah, 280 yards on the ground against that Eagle front. 40 minutes time of possession vs. 20 minutes.

I thought the Eagles defense was the best in the NFC before that game. But they were just mauled.

Here’s the thing about the Eagles’ offense.

Nick Sirianni doesn’t want a lot of motion or condensed formations. The route concepts are more elementary than they were last season, but they weren’t advanced algebra in 2024, either.

The issues start fundamentally at the top. And this is a brain trust that doesn’t seem to like a lot of the things that make modern passing games… well, modern.

    The question is, Why?

From what I gather, Sirianni likes to keep mistakes and turnovers to a minimum and would rather rely on talent to dominate with a physical offense that selectively takes shots downfield.

He could do that, IMO, when he had what was physically the best OL in the NFL. That’s not holding up this year.

Against the Bears, yeah, they ran all over the Eagles defense, but then at the same time the Eagles offense couldn’t stay on the field to exchange punch for punch. They were 4 for 12 on 3rd down and had 14 1st downs to Chicago’s 28.

I had never heard this — Deacon taped a piece of metal in his hand, for his head-slaps.

The big trade – Stafford to the Rams. Goff and two no.1 picks and a 3rd rd pick to the Lions.

Lions ended up getting: Goff, RB Jamir Gibbs, and TE Sam Laporta and WR Jameson Williams.

The Lions did fine in that trade.

They absolutely did, and so did the Rams. The Rams would still have only one Lombardi without that trade.

has there ever been a more mutually beneficial trade in the history of sports?

    i’m being serious.

the faulk trade was a pretty good trade actually.

the faulk trade was a pretty good trade actually.

It was a good trade but not mutually beneficial the way the Goff/Stafford trade was.

IND sold Faulk short for a 2nd rounder. They made up for losing him by taking Edgerrin James, but that was them using a non-trade, homegrown pick to make up for losing Faulk, it wasn’t them getting something for trading Faulk. So for the Rams it was a steal, and for the Colts its was just “time to move on.”

IND took LB Mike Peterson with the Rams 2nd round pick, and while he was good, he was not equal in value to Faulk. That’s not like [Goff + good picks they made good use of] for [Stafford].

yeah. my memory betrayed me there. i thought the james pick involved draft capital from the trade, but the trade didn’t involve a first rounder. my bad.
