    And a Defensive Co-ordinater Controversy.

    And an offensive co-ordinater-lovefest.

    Gosh.

Um…so the Easy part of the schedule
    starts now, right?

I’ll try and watch Replay 2morrow. Sounds
like it was an infuriating and
    outstanding football game.

No QB controversy here: Austin Davis should start for Rams
    By Nick Wagoner

Even after Davis went 30-of-42 for 327 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Rams’ 34-31 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Fisher wouldn’t waver.

“No, I’ve stood behind that decision,” Fisher said.

Given some time to reflect on the upcoming bye week, perhaps Fisher will give it more thought….

I dont really care who starts — I think either choice is reasonable.
And if the starter falters, Fisher can always
    bring in the other QB.

The thing is, it looks like Austin D had a good running game
going today. (yes?) I’d like Wagoner to show me
the numbers on ram-QBs when the running game
    has been clicking.
And the QB-ratings when the running game
    has NOT been clicking.

Well, last year the season started with the 5th game. Maybe the bye week changes that?

yeah. i actually had just posted something similar. davis playing well and all is great. but he’s been bolstered by the running game.

bradford played very well when he had that running game going. so people shouldn’t be going way overboard with this. i wanna see how he performs when it’s all on him.

Well, if this is preseason game 3,
then i think they should rest the starters
    next game.

Well it sounds like we kinda know how
he performs when its “all on him” —
he throws INTs. A lot like Romo,
    actually.

    What would Zooey do?
    Or Oprah.

    What would Zooey do? = 4 o’s
    Or Oprah = 2 o’s

To continue the trend of dividing the number of o’s in half, the next line should be something like “I dunno”

Thank you for providing a diversion like this following a loss. It helps greatly.

Nothing like a controversial loss before a bye.

If we’re lucky debate will be so multi-faceted, it won’t be able to devolve into fixed quarrels.

“Well, I partly agree with you on Hill, and partly DISagree on Davis, I don’t agree on Fisher, I agree on Schottenheimer, I think you’re half right on Williams, I somewhat disagree on Cook, plus Robinson, Stacy, and Watts, and, uh…oh yeah 4th and 1, not sure how I feel.”

I agree with what Fisher says here.

When you look at it, it comes down to four or five plays on both sides of the ball. The three turnovers on offense were costly. It’s difficult to win when you turn it over three times against an explosive offense like the Cowboys. Then defensively, we had three or four plays, one play in particular, the touchdown pass on the communication issue in the coverage. It’s hard to overcome those type of things.

    Yes.

I would add, though, that that was the case last year, too. And that most of us thought that this year the Rams would be on the right side of those plays 3 or 4 times out of 5.

    That’s just nitpicking.

My postmortem: The Rams made mistakes on both offense and defense that let Dallas back into that game. I think the only guy who had a perfect game was Zac Stacy. He was impressive running, receiving and blocking. Austin Davis was very good at times, and also hurt the team with those INTs.
