The Rams had the same LT last year all season.
They had five left guards.
Three centers.
Four right guards.
And Three right tackles. Not sure I would assume “the league figured out the Rams scheme and Goff stinks” is correct.
July 30, 2020 at 4:09 pm #118665znModeratorMarshall Faulks last 100+ total yardage game. Week 15, 2005 season. Even in his final year, Faulk showed glimpses of what made him a first ballot hall of famer. In year 12 #28 still has the vision and burst to move the sticks @marshallfaulk pic.twitter.com/B6WWHNioHv

The Panthers cut Graham Gano today and the Rams need a kicker (but don’t have much money).Surprised by how many fans are confident in three kickers who have never FG in the NFL.
Not to mention, the Rams felt the need to bring in THREE kickers for a competition.

I’m curious. I forget what the Super Bowl year would look like. Were there any injuries at all that year?

vThat was Whit Saffold Sullivan Blythe Hav
Starting at the midpoint, Sullivan declined a little and along with that the right side got exposed a bit.
But aside from that, the unit had no injury replacements all year. All 5 starters played all 19 games.

Yeah, thats what i thought. No big injuries on the OLine all year.
I think thats clear and convincing evidence that Fisher caused
OLine injuries.w

vWell I wouldn’t say he CAUSED them.
Now if you were to say, he is the person with most responsibility in that situation whose actions and inactions had an impact on OL health and readiness, the result many times of those actions and inactions being OL injuries, then fine.

He has 4 career KO retuens for TDs, is a 5′-10″ 175 lb jitterbug with HR speed and electric playmaking in the open field. KO returner and gadget specialist.

August 1, 2020 at 12:11 pm #118732znModeratorfrom https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2020/08/01/nfl-rams-top-101-players-ramsey-hill/
Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar and Mark Schofield released their own list of the best players in the NFL, going to the top 101 instead. And once again, three Rams made the rankings. However, there was one surprising difference: Troy Hill made the top 101, but Jalen Ramsey did not. Here’s where each Rams player finished in Touchdown Wire’s rankings
CB Troy Hill: No. 97
Slot WR Cooper Kupp: No. 93
DT Aaron Donald: No. 4
There’s no denying Hill was solid last season, better than Ramsey, even. However, it seems short-sighted to put him ahead of Ramsey on this list – and questionable to leave Ramsey out of the top 101 altogether. He wasn’t even among the players who just missed the cut, as Tyler Higbee was.

One key area where Jared Goff has worked to improve this offseason: Goff is trying to get better at throwing off-platform, under the assumption that offensive line play will struggle early on.—
me note: that comes from a great, detailed article that is essentially an interview with Goff’s off-season private qb coaches. That article is a must read and it’s here: http://theramshuddle.com/topic/goff-talk/#post-118690

Sean McVay says he does not anticipate any other Rams players to opt out of the season. Reserve OL Chandler Brewer is the only player to have opted out because of a personal history with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.Stu Jackson@StuJRams
McVay stressed the importance of having “clear, open, and honest dialogue” with players. “We care about these guys. If there’s legitimate safety and health concerns, we’re going to do nothing but support these guys.”Andrew Siciliano@AndrewSiciliano
Sean McVay on his Hard Knocks life: “I got a couple of robo cameras follwing me right now. I have zero privacy.”McVay: “August 17th will represent the first real practice for us.”

Sean McVay says there is a “relief” feeling to know they can protect players at high risk if necessary – like in the case of Chandler Brewer.McVay said the Rams will hold their first team meeting Monday in an outdoor tent constructed on the facility parking lot. Tent is large enough to accommodate airflow and physical distancing.

McVay … said he thinks rookies will get substantial walk-thru reps in the run-up period to practice and should be mentally prepared for when real practice starts Aug. 17. Thinks they will be less stressed because of all those half-speed reps

Rams activate DL Michael Hoecht from reserve/COVID-19 listLindseyThiry@LindseyThiry
Sean McVay on contract negotiations of Jalen Ramsey, Cooper Kupp & John Johnson: “Nothing on that front, obviously those guys are instrumental parts of what we want to do. Once the 6-foot-4 Robinson signed with the Rams, Henderson said he had a conversation with him about his playing weight – listed on his NFL.com profile as 330 pounds – and challenged him to show up to camp at 315 pounds. Robinson did one better, reporting at 314 this past Tuesday.
“So, to me, that first impression is something that I was proud of from him, because it shows he’s serious about his craft, coming into a new situation where he’s got to compete for a role here,” Henderson said. “That role is going to be where he can help us tremendously in the run game as well as being able to rush the passer, because he has some athleticism about him.”
What pleases Henderson more than the collection of talent itself, though, is the fact that his players take ownership of “a genuine love and appreciation for one another,” something he preaches regularly. They all want each other to get better – there’s no agendas.

Eagles’ HC Doug Pederson has tested positive for the coronavirus, sources told ESPN’s @Tim_McManus. Pederson convened a previously unscheduled team meeting Sunday night to share the news with his players. He did this after receiving a second positive test.Jeff McLane@Jeff_McLane
Doug Pederson will continue to lead the #Eagles virtually, as much as he can, source said. Duce Staley will assume head coaching responsibilities at the NovaCare Complex in Pederson’s absence. -
