Bucs should have went for 2 for the win. Instead they never touch the ball it OT. These coaches honestly never learn to not be scared all the time.

Stabler. He’s the qb of the most plays with a name in NFL history, for a reason.

Ghost to the Post…a game I watched live when it happened (and one of the greatest games ever).

    Sea of Hands.

    I just like clutch-ness.

I came out to Carson thinking I would see Matt LaFleur and relive memories of the Rams’ 2017 offense. Instead it’s the Rams’ 2016 offense.

What’s happening to Packers OLine just doesn’t happen to the Patriots. Total, utter domination w next to no adjustments. NE loses but rarely lays an egg. This is ugly. All day ugly.

The Chargers have taken apart the Packers offense. Bosa and Ingram are putting together a highlight film on demoralization. My goodness

Chargers 19-0 over Packers, end of the 3rd. Packers 81 total yards v. 329. Somebody just woke up.

Bux 24-21 over Seattle, end of the 3rd. Arians still in the NFC West I guess.

Steelers’ RB James Conner, listed as doubtful for Sunday with a shoulder injury, is not expected to play against the Colts and also is in jeopardy of not playing next week against the Rams, per source.

This is how I would rank the most consequential games for the #LARams (5-3) this weekend.

    1. TB at SEA (6-2)
    2. MIN (6-2) at KC
    3. DAL (4-3) at NYG
    4. CHI (3-4) at PHI (4-4)
    5. DET (3-3-1) at OAK
    6. TEN at CAR (4-3)

    J.B. Long@JB_Long
Don’t interpret this as “the #LARams deserve All-Pro honors up front.” However, hard though it may be to accept, only Mahomes and Carr have a lower sack rate than Jared Goff.

    Ted Nguyen@FB_FilmAnalysis
Learned that recievers purposely don’t move on QB sneaks so that Refs could have a better view of the QB for the spot.

Trent Williams: Doctors downplayed for more than five years tumor that was cancerous

    link: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/31/trent-williams-growth-on-head-was-cancer/

Washington left tackle Trent Williams met with reporters on Thursday for the first time since returning to the team this week and provided details about the medical condition that played a major role in his decision to stay away from the team until Tuesday.

Williams said he went to team doctors almost six years ago about the growth on his head that he wound up having removed this offseason. He said the doctors told him it was a minor condition at the time and he accepted that diagnosis while continuing to play.

The growth continued to grow, however, and he sought other outside opinions earlier this year. That was when he learned he had Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans, which is a rare, soft-tissue cancer.

“I had cancer. I had a tumor removed. It got pretty serious for a second. I was told some scary things by the doctor,” Williams said, via Kareem Copeland of the Washington Post.

Williams did not pass his physical because he felt discomfort when he tried on his helmet on Wednesday and head coach Bill Callahan said on Thursday that the team is looking for a way to customize the helmet to fit Williams comfortably. Williams said “we’ll see how this helmet thing turns out,” but there are other issues as well.

Williams suggested it would be crazy for him to play without having any guaranteed money on his contract. Williams, who is signed through next season, laughed when asked if he wanted to be traded in the offseason and said he has no trust for the organization, although he did say his relationship with team owner Dan Snyder is good.

He also said he still loves football, although it appears to be anybody’s guess when Williams might be playing it again.

    PFF 2019 Midseason NFL All-Pro Team: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff-2019-midseason-nfl-all-pro-team

DI AARON DONALD, LOS ANGELES RAMS

We don’t care about the ‘low’ sack total (even though five is still a lot for a DT). Donald’s added a new dimension to his game this season – edge rushing. 52 of his 476 snaps this year have come outside the tackles. Donald has earned an overall grade over 90.0 in every single season of his career.

    CB MARCUS PETERS, BALTIMORE RAVENS

Even though the Rams dealt him away for seemingly pennies, it wasn’t because of Peters’ on-field. He’s allowed only 11 catches on 265 coverage snaps this season – the fewest receptions per coverage snap of any starting cornerback in the league. He’s also picked off three passes, including a pick-six in his first game with the Ravens.

PFF’s latest NFL quarterback rankings: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff-rankings-nfl-quarterback-rankings-following-week-8-2019

    12. JARED GOFF, LOS ANGELES RAMS
Goff got off to a fantastic start last season, but it’s been a steady decline since late in 2018. He’s thrown about the same percentage of positively graded throws this season, but his negatives are up 4.6%, the second-highest percentage in the league. Goff’s done his best work off play action, as he’s thrown for a league-high 4,262 yards while averaging 9.9 yards/attempt since 2017, but questions arise when he has to consistently make throw after throw in must-pass situations.

Sack rate is more dependent on the QB than it is the OLine

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
Part of the reason why Jared Goff has been sacked an NFL low 12 times while attempting the second-most throws in the NFL.

But let’s not get it twisted. Overall quality of QB play is very related to offensive line play. Yeah, there are some Superman’s that can overcome pretty much everything. But even those guys usually get got at some point.
