3 Prices were high. I mean food costs are bad.

To be honest, for me, that’s the main one. Biden didn’t have charisma either and the millions of racists and sexists among Magas were the same in 2020, but Trump had a bad economy in 2020 so there was turnout for Biden.

As for the world ending, I have actual, real, and authoritative divine assurances that that won’t happen till after the Rams next super bowl win. So, things are fine.

Here’s a collection of analysts’ predictions and previews for Rams-Dolphins:

All five of NFL.com’s analysts picked the Rams to beat the Dolphins on Monday. Read why Ali Bhanpuri chose the Rams here. https://www.nfl.com/news/week-10-nfl-picks-2024-nfl-season

Four of Sports Illustrated’s six staffers picked the Rams to win at home against the Dolphins. All of their Week 10 predictions can be seen here. https://www.si.com/nfl/2024-nfl-week-10-staff-expert-picks

Seven of ESPN’s 11 experts chose the Rams to come out on top in Week 10. Picks for every game can be viewed here. https://www.espn.com/nfl/picks/_/seasontype/2/week/10

    2.

    from https://www.nfl.com/news/week-10-nfl-picks-2024-nfl-season

Why Ali picked the Rams: The Dolphins are humming on offense once again with Tua Tagovailoa at the helm, scoring 27 points in back-to-back weeks after averaging a league-worst 10 points during the QB’s four-game absence. In the Rams, they’ll face a team also rounding into form thanks to the return of key contributors. Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua continue to be absolute game-wreckers, capable of putting opposing defenses in a bind with their route-running, consistency and physicality in the run game. That duo being healthy, and this game requiring a cross-country trek for Miami, already had me leaning toward Sean McVay’s crew. But what makes me the most confident in the Rams’ chances Monday night is the way their defense has been playing. Fueled by a rapidly improving group of rookies — including Jared Verse, Braden Fiske and Jaylen McCollough — L.A. leads the league in takeaways (seven), pressure percentage (47.9%) and sacks (12, tied with Cleveland) since the start of their three-game win streak. If any passer is able to mitigate the Rams’ newfound pass rush, it’s Tua, who leads the league in quick-throw rate. But I’m counting on these young playmakers to do just enough to disrupt his timing, stealing a few extra possessions along the way for Matthew Stafford and Co. to capitalize on.

Another random fact you might not know: Penei Sewell [the Detroit LOT] and Puka Nacua are cousins.

This is a long subject. Way too much for me to type.

Yeah I hear ya. But this time it was kind of frustrating. Harris wasn’t even offering Bernie’s watered down social democracy stuff, she was offering solid, ordinary demand-side proposals (for example she knows that you create jobs by encouraging small businesses not big business). Not leftist stuff, just solid, ordinary centrist stuff. It’s not that people turned that down, per se, they never even heard about it. All they know is that with Harris, criminal Mongol invasion level woke immigrants hordes would be taking their guns so they could force “regular” people’s kids to turn trans.

Nick Bosa had Baker Mayfield (and a victory) in his hands but couldn’t pull him down. Mayfield gets it to White to convert on fourth-and-7.

The games in the West division include:

    9ers at Bux

    Jets at Cards

    Seattle has a bye

Interesting non division games include … well on paper, Steelers at Commanders looks good.

I probably won’t watch any but will check scores.

    9ers won.

    Steelers won.

Now let’s hope the Jets can do the Rams a favor.

    And maybe CB too.

They have tended to buy their CBs.

Gruden gets testy in this one. 😄 He doesn’t like the attention the Shanahan system gets, and Miami HC McDonald coached with KS in SF.

    From https://www.lafbnetwork.com/los-angeles-rams/los-angeles-rams-news/mismatch-in-dolphins-mnf/

The Dolphins rank 15th in EPA allowed per designed carry. There is one exception, though — when they face runs deploying duo, where the offensive line uses double-teams against the defensive line and the running back reads the linebackers to determine which gap to hit.

On such runs, they’re surrendering 5.5 yards per carry (31st in the NFL) and 0.11 EPA per carry (27th). The sample isn’t huge (46 plays), so this could just be noise, but it’s a pretty unideal number when you have to face the Rams.

The Rams run duo 40% of the time, per ESPN/NFL Next Gen Stats tracking, by far the most in the league (Giants are second at 31%). And things could be worse for the Dolphins if Los Angeles gets interior linemen Steve Avila (knee) and Jonah Jackson (shoulder) back from injured reserve.

The David Brooks piece in the NY Times is getting a lot of attention.

The problem with that entire argument is that it acts like the racism and sexism and transphobia etc of the Trump voter is just this superficial thing and they’re voting for their economic interests.

It’s bs. They’re voting AGAINST their economic interests.

They’re voting FOR their race, gender, cis, straight, anti-immigrant prejudices. That’s how they’re conned into voting against their economic interests.

It’s just another weak version of the “class is everything” argument claiming there is a working-class wisdom to the Trump vote. Well, no, and puke. If there;s any group of people who vote most blindly against their own economic interests it’s Trump voters.

The whole “class is everything” approach is invariably done wrong. Plus it has the added drawback of dividing the left. To me an actual, real class analysis of this election would focus on the ways in which Trump voters routinely vote directly against their own class interests.

Matthew Stafford can take advantage of the blitz-heavy Dolphins defense Stafford has accumulated 734 passing yards against the blitz this season, ranking 8th among QBs. He’ll face a Dolphins defense that blitzes at the 4th highest rate in the league, making for a plus matchup

Since Week 7, The Rams offensive line has given up just one sack, the fewest across the NFL in that span. They are also the only team in the league to not allow a sack over the past two games. The Rams are one of just five teams to accomplish the feat in consecutive games this season.

#Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill was added to the injury report and didn’t practice today because of a wrist injury.

    Cameron Wolfe@CameronWolfe
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is dealing with a wrist injury that is “heating up” and has forced him to miss practice time. HC Mike McDaniel told local reporters “if his body lets him, we’ll see” so there is some uncertainty on Tyreek’s availability for Monday vs. Rams.
