But its not like Stafford has only ONE additional year left. The way QBs are protected now, he could very well have two, three, or four elite years left. Even if he missed half the season in some of those years, the critical thing would be his availability in the playoffs.
The guy is a top six quarterback. He is paid like a middle-tier QB.

MLB team payrolls in 2023. I have no idea who made the playoffs that year. But in past years, i have looked how the top ten did, versus the bottom ten in payroll. And every year i looked it, the results were purty predictable. There were always exceptions but the general idea held true every year. The bigger payroll teams did significantly better year in year out.I mean, do you really think if the 49ers had a payroll of 353 million and the Rams had a payroll of 56 million — year in year out — that the Rams could do as well as the 49ers?

vwvParticipantI dunno. You start playing those good defenses during a playoff run, and you simply cannot fumble the ball. I dont trust KW. I think over a long season he can help you get to the playoffs, but once yer there, I think he can help you lose in the playoffs.
I mean, its not black and white, but fumbling, to me, is a HUGE problem. That fumble in the Eagle game should not have happened.

I was bracing myself for a blow-out. And if you’d told me Saquon was gonna go over 200 again, I’d have said, the Eagles win by 15. But the Rams played physical all day. A California team playin physical on the road in the snow. Awesome, really.
McVay and Snead had a very good year. Its fun having a great HC and GM and QB. I hope they all stick around a few more years.
What do they need to go further next season? Someone to stop Saquon Barkley for starters.
I think Washington beats Philly, btw. I think Wash is the more complete team, at this point, with the better QB. Surreal to say that about a rookie.
