Apparently Edwards is a quick learner.

yeah. and if i remember correctly, this is a guy who went through a couple position switches in college?

does this offense have a chance to be even better than the previous two years? Yes. Specifically situationally/more diverse/and against certain defensive looks that gave them issues last year

yeah. if everett develops like he has been. and if henderson is the real deal, then goff and mcvay should have more options at their disposal.

if noteboom and allen pan out.

    I think that’s a bs narrative.

i think there’s an assumption that goff really is a product of the system.

i don’t personally buy that. but that’s the perception, and maybe along with that, he won’t be able to carry the team when he takes up more salary cap space.

again. i don’t agree with that. i think he’s not close to reaching his peak yet.

depending on how noteboom performs this season, i’m hoping he eventually becomes the replacement for whit.

and what better way to transition than to play alongside him for the season.

That would be pretty sweet if it is even close to true

this isn’t the first time we’ve read positive reviews on fowler’s training camp.

and while gurley’s comments might be a little over the top, it does give me hope that fowler and matthews might be the outside pass rush this team needs.

    Sosa K@QBsMVP
Dante Fowler Jr and Clay Matthews are really starting to heat up here

Clay Matthews says the Rams are using him exactly how he should be used on defense

well. this is certainly nice to read. hope it continues in the real games.

Noteboom looked very good with his movement on runs to the right. Both he and Allen have looked just fine so far. IMO Allen will be an upgrade to Sullivan. Allen is quicker with much better overall speed to get into the second level, which is something the center must do in this scheme. The same can be said with Noteboom, he appears more mobile and quicker than Saffold. Whit is just amazing. The dude just doesn’t age. He might want to come back next year too. Whit is totally energized and a complete technician at his craft.

well. we’ll see when the real games begin.

but i like what i’ve been reading.

Woods said McVay is giving Goff half of the play call before the 15 sec mark now and telling him to work it out on his own. He’s putting more on Goff and Goff is getting it.

love reading stuff like this. and it just reinforces my belief that the rams really hit on mcvay. and it gives me hope that goff just continues to rise.

also wondering if the oline, particularly noteboom and allen, get reps in the preseason games.

    1. i hope todd can stay healthy for the whole season.

    2. it feels good to have the best player in the league.

Sean McVay says he’s more twitchy in his upper body and flicking passes that used to require a tiny windup.

that should make it harder for defenses to get a jump on the ball.

Torry was slobbering all over Donald. Said he has everything, reached the top, and doesn’t slack one bit, keeps learning every day. Said AD will be in the class with Deacon and Merlin. The all time great Rams.

drool. the greatest ram i’ve ever seen.

i hope that henderson is the real deal, and i hope that he can develop joseph-day and/or gaines into a solid nose tackle.

    that’d be so cool.

one of my favorite rams of all time.

DH does sound like he’s big in their plans

mcvay always seems to throw in a wrinkle each season.

    He’s 24 years old.

yeah. and it’s not exactly like he’s got all pro receivers surrounding him. although they are quite good.

the guy just gets better and better every year and only just scratching the surface right now.

it should be fun tracking his progress.

The @RamsNFL are the only team in the NFL to use shotgun on less than 50% of their offensive snaps since 2017, and @JaredGoff16 has been one of the best QB from under center over that span.#LARams

funny that one of the biggest questions surrounding goff was his ability to play under center.

hammond casually mentions that nose tackle will be a question mark. that is my main concern on defense. i know a lot of people didn’t like how suh loafed through the regular season, but it’s still big shoes to fill.

i think they’ll figure it out, but it’s very much a concern of mine. i still think overall the defense improves.

The thing that may balance all that is that the defense is being set up to do far better than it has been doing.

    i think so too.

and if gurley happens to not be at full strength, i think henderson will keep the running game going.

I dont foresee any regression in his game. I just think losing Saffold, and Sullivan, and relying on the aged Whitworth, combined with an eroding-Gurley, is going to regress the whole offense.

not a regression in his game but a regression statistically.

but i think it does force him to elevate his game.

They are working on him reacting more quickly on progressions post-snap, especially against unfamiliar or unexpected coverages.

i think pre-snap is where he struggles. and even post-snap it’ll take awhile. it’s gotta be different with live reps as opposed to practicing it.

but i think he’ll eventually get over that hump. like i said almost every qb goes through something like this it seems like.

    i don’t think it’ll be anything permanent.

Well, i agree it was one of the best, but I dont think it was nearly as good in its third and final season. Somethin went wrong.

my understanding is milch spent more and more time on john from cincinnati.

which was also a very good show. even if just for one season.

but he really shoulda just concentrated on one.
