The pick is in. Trey Lance. That is rolling the dice.

but if they hit, it will be rams’ misery.

I would like to see the Rams get Walker Little. I would pick him at 57.

i would be cool with that. rams need a future left tackle.

I think that Snead might trade some picks from next for a couple picks this year. We have all those extra comp picks next year and I am reading that people think the picks from next year’s draft are gold. So instead of trading up or back we use some 2022 picks.

i have no idea what snead is thinking, but they only have so much time with stafford. unless he signs an extension or something. so why not just go for it now?

he’s currently projected as a second or third rounder although that’s almost certainly changing by the day.

    payton turner.

has played multiple positions along the defensive line.

    6’5″ 270 lbs. 35″ arms 10 1/4″ hands.

    4.25s short shuttle
    6.98s 3-cone
    35″ vertical

that’s who i’d like to see the rams pick in the second if he’s even available.

And white folks posting, “I can breathe.”

    i can’t believe i’m actually going to defend mark davis a billionaire…

but reading the explanation of why he tweeted that. i can understand it. he was echoing the words of george floyd’s brother philonise who apparently said, “we can all breathe again.”

so i can understand why he said it and am not completely aghast. yes. he should know the history behind those words and at least admitted he understood why people would be offended when it was explained to him.

but yeah. i agree. how many times has this happened and it wasn’t filmed?

“Once the world saw video evidence completely blowing up our fabrication, we did the honorable thing, and admitted it.”

funniest thing i’ve read this year. haha!

    talk about embarrassing.

more embarrassing that donald actually saved him from an even bigger ass kicking. he should be thanking him.

NFLPA continues to push hard for no in-person work this spring.
Says NFLPA President J.C. Tretter: “The NFL doesn’t get to decide when the pandemic is over, or when we get to stop caring about COVID.”

you know. not that i disagree with him. cuz i do. we still need to be careful. but i can’t help but wonder how many players will use that as an opportunity to travel and get together with friends and have just a good old wholesome time.

Like Snead mentioned a couple weeks ago, I’m pretty excited about a couple of those younger DL who were hidden on the practice squad last year. Eric Banks and Michael Hoecht in particular.

    jonah williams too.

so maybe sean really needs to find a legit coordinator for the offense? not just in name. but also to have the autonomy to be able to be that?

i don’t know who’s fault it is. probably a combination of both.

i do think mcvay could have made it work. but he didn’t want to.

    we’ll see if it works.

The jury is out on whether McVay is right about any
or all of that, but it does sound like the
    young-aggro coach didnt ‘handle’ his
quarterback in a way that would bring out the best in Goff.

McVay is no Dick Vermeil. Course DV needed Martz.

would martz have handled it better?

With a hired nutritionist, throwing coach and personal trainer outside of the Rams’ facility, Goff put in the work required of most starting NFL quarterbacks. But when compared to Wolford, who some refer to as Baby Brees, it fell short.

Wolford arrived early during the week for practices — 6:30 a.m. — and stayed late, even when he was on the practice squad. “Just a different animal,” a league source said.

“He’s addicted like McVay,” a team source said.

The energy around the practice facility shifted when Wolford took over.

that’s the only thing that disappointed me about goff. when they drafted him, those are the things i wanted to hear about goff. that he was addicted to football. oh well. i still like him.

NFL media deals worth $10 billion a year, per @AP.
That is over $300M per team, just from media.

The player Salary Cap is now $182M, may not reach $300M for many years. What a business..

i don’t get it. why is the salary cap so low now?

Just so happens I was a-listnin to sports chatter on my drive home today, and Peter King was saying that the release of Hudson raises questions because Hudson is good, and it is one of his top 5 mysteries.

it doesn’t make any sense. the raiders don’t even save any money by cutting him.

for what it’s worth da silva thinks he’d be a great fit for the rams.

Before you completely disregard the idea of Woods being traded, consider this:

You’d be saving at least $11.9M this season. That’s… a lot. Think they have plenty of faith in VJ12 (who is costing you $1.28M this year) and want to bring in a field stretcher. It could happen. …

he’s probably gone. love bob. but you already have kupp and van jefferson. you have higbee. you have hopkins. where else can you save money?

    hope mcvay doesn’t have a vermeil-like meltdown.
