i’m reading on the la times that sofi will have about 65% attendance of 9er fans…

    not good.

this will be a defining moment for the rams in los angeles.

lots of talk on the radio about whether los angeles even cares that the rams could go to the superbowl on sunday.

i will say this.  in a way, what happened last sunday could have been a blessing.

they blow what a 21 point lead?  bad snap.  four fumbles.  missed fg.  you have tom brady breathing down your neck.  it almost seems inevitable that the bucs win.  and then matthew stafford has a last gasp 42 second drive to clinch the game?

could do wonders for their confidence.  that they can overcome all of that and still beat one of the all time winners this league has seen.

    i’m still nervous though.

    that was crazy.

rams really did a poor job in the fourth quarter. stafford bails them out. what a game.

I saw on the facebook sports pages, 9er fans want us. They feel the Rams are easy to beat.

should the rams advance to the nfc championship i hope the stadium is full of rams fans. shut those niners fans up.

Don’t you think it would be sweeter to beat the 9ers NEXT week?

hopefully, they can beat the bucs first.

if they can get past the bucs, yeah that would be sweet.

but the opposite would be a disaster. losing to the niners three times in one season. and the niners going on to win the superbowl in the rams’ stadium?

it would be a high stakes game for sure. if the rams can get past tampa bay.

As of right now they look like a playoff team but not a super bowl team.

    yup.

maybe i’m wrong. but it seems to me that this oline isn’t good enough. and the team in general is not physical enough.

If you are going to throw on 3rd down at the end of the half, why the heck wouldn’t you run play action instead of empty set.

    yeah. it was stupid.

and then the defensive collapse at the end was disappointing.

i definitely think he’s a good qb. i think he’s capable of leading a team to the superbowl.

is he capable of leading THIS team to a superbowl. i’m not sure. this team does have talent. but they can’t keep turning the ball over and expect to win in the playoffs.

Having Stafford as your QB is like having an Aston Martin with a bad timing belt.

Good looking but lots of misfires.

i’m hoping he can get this thing turned around a little bit. i think it’s possible, but i’m worried to be honest.

    defense is getting better.

    michel has been huge.

if stafford can get on a little bit of a hot streak then this team could be something else in the playoffs.

There’s a HUGE difference in Stafford needing to be better and Stafford being a horrible QB.

    i agree.

    roberto clemente@rclemente2121
rams defense held the ravens to just 12 offensive points today, which will most likely land the rams d top 5 in fewest offensive points allowed thru week 17.

meanwhile staley’s chargers defense ranks 29th in offensive points allowed headed into this week.

    wow.

stafford is a top 5 QB for sure.

but i’m not sure this team is superbowl caliber. at the same time i’m not sure there’s a clear cut favorite. so it’s anybody’s at this point.

    ugly game by stafford.

not extremely impressed. the defense put the offense in some really good positions. felt like the offense should have scored more…

stafford putting up impressive numbers on the season. but still want to see him do it against quality competition.

what i wanna know is what happened to burgess? i thought for sure he’d take one of the safety spots and play a little nickel.

or is he playing more these days? and i’m just not seeing him?

well. at first i was disappointed. but comparing him to the rest of the field. he still ranks third in qb rating. he ranks first in total qbr. he also ranks fourth in ypa.

football outsiders ranks him third although it’s possible he moves up after factoring prescott’s last game.

still a long way to go but not bad.

well. i don’t pretend to know whether obj is a malcontent or not. i do know his teammates have said only positive things about him. i know guys like ramsey and miller have vouched for him.

my guess is obj’s problem was with the coaching staff and the system. well. hopefully the mcvay offense is a better fit. he’ll be seeing the touches for sure. and i’ve never heard anything negative regarding his work ethic.

if this works out. and i don’t think it’s a reach to think that it could work here. could this offense be harder to defend? i love robert, but does he demand double teams like obj potentially would?

i just hope jefferson can step up. the rams need him to step up. regardless of how good obj could be.

i would not have him as a punt returner. not with woods down.

and regarding his 40 time. that’s not as important as his agility drills. short shuttle 3.94. three cone 6.69. those numbers rival kupp’s. and then his body control. that’s what makes him special. but how much of his agility has been robbed by injuries? i hope not too much. talent wise it’s not even close. he’s on another level compared to woods. but it’s the intangibles with woods. he’s on a level that few reach in my opinion. he flourished with mcvay. i’m hoping obj can resurrect his career here.

well. it’s on obj now. wow. what a loss. makes me sick.

but i gotta trust what ramsey and miller say about obj. if they have respect for him, that says a lot to me. and now he’s got a chance to play in a dynamic offense. with a good qb. and with good players around him. i’ll be cheering him on. and i’m sure robert woods will be right there cheering him on the hardest. i’m sure robert will be in meetings, in film sessions… prepping odell and coop and van and all those receivers to be their best. they may lose him on the field, but his presence will be there.

I have to change my mind. I* am really glad we signed OBJ. You blew it, DeSean.

well. if i wasn’t so sad for robert i’d be laughing.

this is just horrible. hope obj is ready cuz the rams really need him now.

also. at 29 obj is not old for a receiver. many a receiver still had peak years at age 29. only difference is obj is coming off an acl injury.
