josaiah stewart and warren mcclendon have been the two biggest surprises for me this season. especially mcclendon. lessens the need to draft a tackle in 2026.

wow. what a way to respond. i mighta been a little worried at the beginning, but rams pretty much dominated from start to finish.

big test of course next week.

IND sold Faulk short for a 2nd rounder. They made up for losing him by taking Edgerrin James, but that was them using a non-trade, homegrown pick to make up for losing Faulk, it wasn’t them getting something for trading Faulk. So for the Rams it was a steal, and for the Colts its was just “time to move on.”

yeah. my memory betrayed me there. i thought the james pick involved draft capital from the trade, but the trade didn’t involve a first rounder. my bad.

the faulk trade was a pretty good trade actually.

The big trade – Stafford to the Rams. Goff and two no.1 picks and a 3rd rd pick to the Lions.

Lions ended up getting: Goff, RB Jamir Gibbs, and TE Sam Laporta and WR Jameson Williams.

The Lions did fine in that trade.

    w
    v

They absolutely did, and so did the Rams. The Rams would still have only one Lombardi without that trade.

has there ever been a more mutually beneficial trade in the history of sports?

    i’m being serious.

Though this is one game where they really could have run more than they did. Rams got 152 yards rushing on 21 attempts, for 7.2 a carry. Everyone talks about the Carolina run game, but they just ran it more often. If the Rams had run it 40 times, as Carolina did, that would have been 288 yards.

rams definitely could have run it more.

the defense also couldn’t stop them on third and fourth downs. panthers were 7-15 on third downs. 3-3 on fourth downs. one of those fourth down conversions was for the game winning td i believe.

that and the turnovers. hopefully this is a timely wake up call for the last five games of the season.

turnovers and rams d getting bullied.

tough loss. best part of today was falcons losing again. but i woulda preferred a rams w.

it’s crazy to think the rams could have forbes signed through 2027.

and they got this guy for basically nothing.

they could also have a high first round pick next year. i’m thinking caleb downs. curl will be a free agent after this season. lake will be a free agent. durant a free agent.

rams just keep making the right moves. amazing.

the above clip where stafford just whips the ball sidearm around the wall of linemen is unreal. just a natural thrower. i thought he was all arm strength before. and his arm is for sure a cannon, but it’s so much more than that.

i’m glad to read about mcclendon. right tackle was a big worry for me going into next year. this should be a good audition for the rest of the season. especially with playoffs and a possible superbowl run on the line.

When Mayfield went out though, Tampa had nuthin, and Rams took their foot off the gas.

yeah. i was hoping for another td in the second half. maybe a long drive with a lot of kyren williams ending in a decisive td. but the buccaneers’ spirit had been killed anyway. so it’s all good.

The injury bug has bitten: Sean McVay announced the Rams are placing Higbee, Havenstein and Lake all on injured reserve

i think mcclendon should be fine. i’m hoping this is an opportunity for ferguson to get more reps and step up. losing lake hurts.

wow. good red zone defense. darnold laying an egg. and probably stafford should have just ate that ball at the end.

not a great game, but they won. so it’s cool.

After just 9 games, Matthew Stafford has already thrown more touchdown passes against the blitz than all but two quarterbacks in a season in the last decade.

His 20 such touchdown passes are nearly double the 2nd-highest total in 2025 (Jalen Hurts, 11).

so i’m guessing it’s due to two factors? one being better protection. the other being davante adams?

i wonder how many of adams’ 9 tds have been against the blitz.

or is it in part due to the 13 personnel. i’d like to see someone break that down.

“You’re only 37, you got at least another 8 years to play so, I can’t wait to watch all of them.”

i’ve been wondering for some time how much stafford has left in the tank.

i think he could easily play another three years after this season bringing his time with the rams to eight years. if he could do ten more, even better. rams might be better off just restocking the roster around stafford and just play him until he can’t or doesn’t want to play anymore.

rams look like they get better every week. i still am far from convinced by the kicking game. but i think that’s the only thing holding them back. that and kyren’s fumbling.

stafford looks as good as i’ve ever seen him playing for the rams. i hope he can play until he’s 40.

stafford looks like a legit mvp candidate.

offense looks solid. stafford able to spread the ball around.

defense gave up some cheap scores.

still not convinced by the st unit. that seems like the main thing holding the rams back from a super bowl run.

The biggest problem seems to me to be blocking on field goals.

yes which is why i say the kicking game as a whole. it’s not just karty. he’s not the main culprit. just as a whole they cannot get it together. if it was just the kicker, i’d see some way out of it. but the problem is pervasive.

it’s the worst kicking game i’ve ever seen?

so bad i think it’ll prevent the rams from going deep in the playoffs.

and how do you even fix that in the middle of a season?

In any event, the final score is more indicative of poor Jaguar performance than Rams domination.

i agree. rams did not look great. maybe the defense was good. just need to get healthier now.

the rams played terrible. fortunately the ravens were even worse. maybe one good quarter. i’d say the defense played well, but was it more a case of the ravens offense playing poorly?

but i do believe they can get better. i don’t know what’s wrong with the kicking game. i don’t know if it’s karty or the unit as a whole. i just hope it gets fixed.

And I’m sure you’ll agree, but in the middle of all that, the Rams also made plays…it’s not like they just coasted.

oh definitely. i said before stafford off to the best start of his career since the superbowl winning season. the colts game was probably the best game he’s had so far this season. puka off to a record start. he was clutch in this game especially the first half. kyren looked strong running the ball as you said. curl had an amazing game.

    lots of positives here.

i didn’t realize this at the time, but the colts only had ten men on the field on the tutu td. add to the fact that tutu’s defender tripped over himself. the rams were even luckier than i thought.

i knew about the two mitchell mistakes and that was bad enough.

this might be worse than the two blocked fgs on the rams.

stafford off to his best start since the superbowl season.

offense probably the best it’s looked so far this season. although i haven’t seen the philly game in its entirety. hopefully the offense continues to gel especially as adams gets comfortable.
