Yeah I’m with WV….he’s also still learning….but I am totally impressed. I wanna see what he does over the next few games.

What is the solution to this teams problems. Other teams have figured out that getting the ball out quicker and running the football is a good way to neutralize a good pass rush. OK, FINE….is there no counter to this strategy? IF there is, what is it?

I think the “exotic” blitzes are just creating opening to dink, dunk, and run.

So far, Fisher’s best defensive coordinater was no defensive coordinater.

We’re speaking about him in glowing terms b/c he’s getting the numbers. Barring injury, he’s headed for over 1000 yards recieving.

I do agree with you…he can be a lot better. Which means I think he could be something really special if he keeps getting tougher and more confident in the system.

but isn’t that what happened last year…they became a good team by the end of the year….

that wasn’t suppose to happen AGAIN

Ray Ray’s the type of player that needs to get shocked, to understand his lesson. Getting released might have been just what he needed to finally “get it”. He’ll probably go on to become a very productive player for the raiders.

It’ll improve dramatically….bc it doens’t have any where else to go.
I suspect it’ll end up being a good defense….but not a step up from last year should have been the case.

The team wasn’t ready to play so far. That’s easier to understand when you have a roster full of rookies, but we’re past that point. These second year players were playing well by the end of last year.

Some teams are always ready coming out of the gate…so far not this team. Sure they’ll turn it around…but why not use the pre-season to iron out some of them things that we spend the first 25 percent of the season ironing out.

What I like about Davis this year….very high pocket awareness. Also, he can read defenses and he knows this offense like the back of his hand. He knows what he’s doing out there.

I don’t know, I’ve just finished watching that play many times and Fisher’s answer makes no sense to me. I don’t see anyway Saffold
can get there. I think it was a shitty shitty play. I’m tired of Fisher saying this guy was supposed to do this or that. Fisher’s responsibility after 3 freaking years is to make sure his players know what and how to what they are asked. He picked these guys he coached these guys for 3 yrs if they can’t execute it’s on Fisher at this point.

    Exactly. Execution is on coaching.

I have a theory. I think that you had a large amount of young, talented players learn how to do something one way….and started doing it really well by the end of last season. Instead of making that “second year in the system” jump….they were asked to do it completely different this year. Essentially seems like they started over. I was afraid this might happen and I am really upset about it
