There isn’t a rivalry between St. Louis and KC. Not in football. The Chiefs beat the crap out of the Rams. That doesn’t make a rivalry. That is a joke. Even 20 years of interleague MLB hasn’t created a rivalry between the Cardinals and the Royals. Even the Blues and the Scouts in the NHL didn’t have a rivalry. Blues rival is always the Blackhawks. Cardinals rival is always the Cubs and lately the Reds. Rams had a good rivalry with the Saints until realignment screwed that up.

bnwBlockedMy CBS affiliate isn’t carrying it either. I think Sheldon and Amy do it tonight so not a total loss. I was hoping I could watch a Rams game live for once, but no. I have the Gamepass so have to hermitize to not get the spoiler. Looks like friday night viewing for me. Would it really kill the NFL to include their thursday game live for the Gamepassedmebuy?

bnwBlockedI don’t see that the team has quit on Fisher. The defense was on the field for 40 minutes. Kept within a TD of the lead for well over a half of the game. Missing Quinn is huge over these last few weeks but even that can’t excuse a miserably inept offense.
I blame Snisher for the lack of progress on the O line which mind fucked Foles into a liability and has now eliminated Gurley from positive yards on what seems most plays. Our WRs are a joke. I also blame Fisher for guys smiling when they get flagged, especially on offense.
Please someone explain why when a WR is at the LOS and a DB is right across from him, so close they can feel each others breath, your QB throws the ball to the WR behind the LOS? We see that so many times and it never amounts to anything good. Why do they continue to give up downs and yards like that? This is what went on in Spags tenure too. It is destined to fail with our WRs so why? Is the playbook written on the inside of a matchbook cover?
Fisher will finish this season.

bnwBlockedI doubt it.
But I sometimes wonder where they would be if they had kept Fitzpatrick.
He sure would look good now compared to Foles. But would he have fared any better than Bulger behind that O line, or this current o line?

November 30, 2015 at 1:49 pm in reply to: Peter King on the Bengals game and other Rams stuff #34944bnwBlockedHere’s the coaches solution for 4 years running. Saffold! What a nightmare.
I don’t think there’s any coaches control over the OL injury situation.
This can’t be ignored—in 2 years they added 8 young linemen and only 1 (Donnal) had a prior injury history. But 7 of the 8 so far have been injured, including 3 out for the season in the space of 2 games (Brown, Williams, Donnal).
The odds against that are astronomical. It has nothing to do with the coaches.
Meanwhile both Reynolds and Havenstein have played well. Predictably a young line struggled, but there was no way to predict the injury situation in 2015 any more than there was a way to predict it in 2007 (when it was far worse than it is now.)
I do not remember Havenstein playing well.

bnwBlockedWhat difference does a ranking mean if he can’t stay on the field?
He missed (I think) two games. That doesn;t make him a Saffold.
In terms of injuries, this is just the Rams curse. In the last 2 years they added 8 young linemen. So far 7 of them have been injured. The only one who hasn’t been is Battle and that’s because he hasn’t played. It’s just a bizarre Rams thing.
Either way, I don’t fault RH for missing a couple of games.
Seems like 3 or 4 games.

bnwBlockedThis team is another decade away if they can’t field a decent O line and a decent QB since the defense will be changing personnel or it’s star performers declining. This season was this teams best shot.
Well do you think Fisher should
get another Decade?w
vPersonally I think they aren’t far off with the OL.
Right now for example Havenstein is PFF’s highest ranked rookie OL and their 4th ranked right tackle.
BUT a young and inexperienced OL is going to struggle at first, and then they had an injury bout.
The issues on offense IMO are execution, due to a lot of things, including a qb meltdown.

bnwBlockedThe concern isn’t the stuffing. The stuffing in the bird takes longer to reach a safe temp which can lead to an overcooked turkey and not as moist or even dryish meat. Plus you run a greater risk of food poisoning with the stuffing not thoroughly reaching a safe temp. There are ways around this to still stuff the bird but all still expose the stuffing to the contamination risk. For us its been easier to cook the dressing in the oven and if necessary add drippings from the finished turkey if desired.

bnwBlockedMy wife is working until 4 EST so I’m doing the cooking this year.
For the first time ever.
Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and the green bean casserole are made and standing by.
The turkey is stuffed and in the oven.
Still have to make gravy, crescent rolls, corn and open up a can of the semi-solid gelled cranberry sauce (which is the best kind of cranberry sauce).
If you don’t hear from me again it means I’m probably dead from Salmonella poisoning.
It’s been an honor.
I have to run out for more corn. My wife never buys enough corn. 11.5 years of marriage and you’d think she’d know how much corn I like to eat.
Seems like you already know this but I wanted to comment yesterday but was called away. Why risk the stuffing? Too much of a chance for the meat to become dry before the stuffing can reach a safe temp. Besides, no bird can hold enough stuffing eaten at my house. Make the stuffing, I guess dressing, separate in the oven. Just some unsolicited advice.
