AgamemnonParticipantSherman is coming off one or two major injuries.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/richard-sherman-seattle-seahawks-to-release-star-cornerback/
He will be 30 years old going into next season and coming off an Achilles tendon injury that cost him half of the 2017 season. But the biggest reason for his release was financial. Sherman was due $13 million for the 2018 season and his release gives Seattle a salary cap savings of about $11 million.
The Seahawks are expected to make an announcement Friday. Sherman is expected to be waived with an injury designation because of the Achilles injury.

AgamemnonParticipantLos Angeles Rams trade for Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib

The Rams’ wild offseason continues shopping a fifth-round pick to Denver.
By Sosa Kremenjas@SosaKre Mar 8, 2018, 7:06pm CSTIn another shocking trade, the Los Angeles Rams have made a move for Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib:
The #Rams and #Broncos have finalized a deal to send CB Aqib Talib to Los Angeles, sources tell me and @JamesPalmerTV.

Rams are expected to trade a 2018 fifth-round pick to Broncos for CB Aqib Talib, per source. https://t.co/y5eQAfOErx

Now this is stunning. The Rams will re-unite a top tier CB in Talib with Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips for just a fifth-round pick from the 2018 NFL Draft.
Talib has been troubled both on and off the field in the past. Off the field issues stem earlier in his career, though he has had spats on the field most notably with Oakland Raiders WR Michael Crabtree.
Talib has spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots and most recently the Denver Broncos. Talib has been with the Broncos for four seasons. In his 11-year career, he has amassed 34 interceptions, 118 pass deflections and 10 defensive touchdowns.
Talib is well respected and known as a press-man CB with big size and strength to jam up WR’s at the line of scrimmage. He was given an 86.2 rating by PFF, which would rank as the 15 best CB in the NFL.

Shields signs with Rams after year out of NFL
5:36 PM CTSam Shields’ NFL comeback will start with the Los Angeles Rams, who announced Thursday that they signed the former Green Bay Packers cornerback.
Shields, 30, didn’t play last season after the Packers released him in February. Before he was released, he had played in just one game in 2016 and missed four games in 2015 because of concussions.
The former Pro Bowl cornerback never returned from the concussion he suffered in the Packers’ 2016 season opener at Jacksonville. It was the fourth concussion of his NFL career and second in nine months.
“Some days it’s tough headaches. Some days it’s mild,” Shields said in January 2017. “It varies. I never know. I’m so used to it that it’s just normal. Like I said, each day it’s getting better. I’ll be back.”
Cornerback Sam Shields is getting a chance to return to the NFL with the Rams. Joe Robbins/Getty ImagesWhen healthy, Shields was one of the top cover cornerbacks in the league. He has 23 interceptions (including the playoffs) since entering the league in 2010. From 2012 to 2016, Peters generated either an interception or a pass defended on 16.2 percent of targets thrown into his coverage, fifth-best among corners during that stretch, according to Pro Football Focus.
Shields, who won a Super Bowl with the 2010 Packers and made the Pro Bowl in 2014, will provide the Rams with some much-needed depth at outside corner.
The Rams recently acquired All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs. But their No. 2 corner, Kayvon Webster, is recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered in December, and there isn’t much depth behind him.
The Shields signing is yet another indication that the Rams don’t have much confidence in their ability to retain Trumaine Johnson, who spent the past two seasons playing under the franchise tag and is expected to have a robust market in free agency.

AgamemnonParticipantRams will either trade or release WR Tavon Austin before the start of the league year, source says. He’s due $8m, so his time with the team is done.

AgamemnonParticipantTX. Everything is fine. Couldn’t be much better unless I never had the incident (kidney failure, but it is better now). I had a lot of people help me. So, considering two months ago, I didn’t know if I was going to live or die in ICU. A month ago I couldn’t sit in a chair for 30 minutes. Right now, I am better than before the incident. I am getting back to normal. I can do just about everything for myself. 😉
.
I have diabetes and COPD. I have to watch carbs and have oxygen 24/7.(at least for now) I can cook and go to the store, but I use a wheelchair.(at least for now) I am home and do everything for myself.
