AgamemnonParticipantI think this is the post, Invader. Or do a search for coacho.
AgamemnonParticipantYou are a Tech-guy, Ag. Surely,
there is an APP, I can get that will delete
Frank Cusumano, and leave JT in the audio.w

December 3, 2015 at 11:33 pm in reply to: 2016 Draft: "I'd hate to be a team in need of a QB" #35086
AgamemnonParticipantI think that article is in the context of immediate starter. I would agree that there are no QBs that you would want to start right away, but there are a bunch of QBs that could develope or maybe start, if you had a good team. imo
Since the rookie pay scale has changed, I don’t think you automatically have to start a QB just cause he was drafted high in the first round and the penalty for missing isn’t near as bad as it used to be..
Maybe Foles has a revelation. Or Mannion is ready. And, maybe the rest of our team is good enough to support a not quite ready QB?

AgamemnonParticipantKeennum (concussion) listed as limited; RT Havenstein (calf) full participation.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) December 3, 2015
Zuerlein (groin), Donnal (knee), Quinn (back), T. Johnson (thigh) did not practice Thursday. Keenum (concussion ) limited.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) December 3, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantJeff Fisher said Case Keenum still in concussion protocol. Keenum limited again Thursday. Nick Foles will start again Sunday against Arizona
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) December 3, 2015
If Keenum passes concussion protocol, there's a chance he'll be No. 2 on Sunday but because he missed first two days this week, it's Foles.

OT Rob Havenstein (calf) listed as full participation. So no changes on the injury report from Wednesday to Thursday.

AgamemnonParticipantHoward and Frank see it very differently. Frank wants to argue with Howard. It’s funny.
It is almost like a comedy routine, with Frank using all the bad internet arguments. 😉
AgamemnonParticipant
AgamemnonParticipantat this point it seems like the rams are that close to getting goff. i’m torn.
i’m not so sure i’m sold on cook. if they can’t get goff, i’d rather they wait until the second round and get someone like wentz.
Which of those guys come from a spread offense. I don’t want a spread QB unless it is Lomax.

AgamemnonParticipantNone of it matters if your pick is a bust.
That is absolutely correct. But for the sake of conversation we are assuming that isn’t the case.

AgamemnonParticipantThey are a year away. They need better luck with injuries.
I agree with that.
They also need better DE depth.
Along with other stuff they need.
Right, I figure they will do something with all their cap space and draft capitol, in a good draft, that sets up to meet almost any need for any team. We don’t always get that in a draft.

AgamemnonParticipantAlrighty then, lets Trade Down.
w
vThat is the flip side. It is better to be a seller than an buyer in that market. But, you don’t want to trade out of a class, group, tier of talent. You don’t want to miss a chance to get a blue chip player. You ask why? That doesn’t seem to compute. It is because then I am not paying premium. I am getting a value. It is sort of the difference between paying cash or bartering. That is what cause the apparent dichotomy in the logic.
That is sort of the other side of the Pace trade, too. After the Tuna trade with DV, he trade out of the Jones pick and ended up with a pile of average.

AgamemnonParticipantNow that the team has jumped the Shark,
what now? How close is this team
to being a Wildcard-Level team? That would be Ten wins. Not elite,
just playoff level. Can they be a Ten win team
next year?
Why or why not? What do they need to do?

AgamemnonParticipantWhy is it a losing play?
Orlando Pace?
w
vOrlando Pace was another trade up that I didn’t like. I wanted to stay at 6 and pick Walter Jones. Although I will say this, DV got Pace at an under the market price. He refused to add our 2cd round pick.
I was doing this type of strategy way before the proof came out. The proof is the new Draft Trade Value Chart, which nobody uses. 😉

AgamemnonParticipantNick Foles was 1-7 with 3 interceptions on throws 15+ yards downfield Sun. Past 2 games, Foles is 1-13 with 3 interceptions on such passes.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) November 30, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantI will give Keenum one more chance. After we lose to Arizona(eight loses), Mannion can start the rest of the games.
As for the draft, I am willing to go with just Mannion, although I would like to draft Cook. I think we will get 5 good players no matter what position we draft. My cat could draft 5 good players in this draft. Drafting high, I would seriously look at LT.
AgamemnonParticipantBefore his quick departure, FIsher said if Keenum passes concussion protocol, he will start next week. Said Mannion is not ready.

AgamemnonParticipantIn a bit of a surprise, OT Rob Havenstein is active today after not practicing this week with a calf injury.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) November 29, 2015
Rams officially added K Zach Hocker. Zuerlein is active so Hocker will handle kicking duties. Hocker wearing No. 2.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) November 29, 2015
Cody Wichmann will start at right guard in place of Andrew Donnal. That should allow Rams to keep Garrett Reynolds at LG w/ Havenstein at RT
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) November 29, 2015
Obviously, that second tweet about kickers was supposed to say Zuerlein is inactive with Hocker handling kicking duties. Apologies.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) November 29, 2015
As we wrote Friday, no surprise but Case Keenum is inactive and Nick Foles to start at QB. Sean Mannion active as No. 2 QB for first time.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) November 29, 2015
Also, no surprise but Marcus Roberson will start at CB with Trumaine Johnson inactive because of a thigh injury.
