AgamemnonParticipantC Tim Barnes (foot) did not participate on FRI. Gurley (thigh) was limited. CB Johnson (illness) DNP on FRI, but he's expected to play.
— Myles Simmons (@MylesASimmons) November 18, 2016
Heard from Quinn after today's practice, who said illness was a dehydration issue. Said his best practice will be to "drink more water."
— Myles Simmons (@MylesASimmons) November 18, 2016
Still unclear if Quinn will play on Sunday. But he was a full participant in Friday's session, listed as questionable.

Thus, I am a political atheist. I don’t believe the right of the many outweighs individual rights, less government is better. But, the more crowded things get(population density), the more rules and manners we need. Any form of government is fine, if you have good leaders. imo

I’m surprised you got out of there alive.

They got used to me. There was the time I told the Navajos to talk American. They said, we are talking American. LOL

It might be better than bowling?
I told the guys at work, if you liked bowling, you were brain dead. They got mad at me.
PS. I got kicked off a bowling team. I think my blupperball did it. You throw the ball so everytime it rolls over, it hits the holes. Throw it real slow. Blup…..Blup….Blup, all the way down the alley. Everybody turns and stares with their mouths open.

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman William Hayes believes not only that dinosaurs never existed — but that they’re a total hoax perpetrated by archaeologists who planted massive bones in the ground and later dug them up.
“No, I don’t believe dinosaurs existed,” Hayes once said. “Not even a little bit. With these bones, it’s crazy because man has never seen a dinosaur, we can agree on that, right? But we know exactly how to put these bones together? I believe there is more of a chance you will find a mermaid than you will a dinosaur because we find different species in the water all the time.”
AgamemnonParticipantGood stuff Ag! Sunlight WARMS the earth. Cooling has dire consequences upon agriculture. This we knew from history. Lets hope nuclear winter remains a theory.
I believe, mostly, civilizations rise around water supplies and die when they use up that water supply.

AgamemnonParticipantLook at the disastrous cooling of 1816 brought about by the eruption of Mt. Tambour in 1815. The year without a summer.
This is just some stuff I have found interesting. Maybe others will too?
AgamemnonParticipantIt caused the Mississippi River at St. Louis to routinely freeze over.
When I was a kid I knew people who drove wagons across the Missouri River, just west of St. Louis. Of course the River had not been engineered at that time. It was much slower and shallower.
It used to flood once every 5 or 7 years, but that was ok, the fertile ground it brought made up for the year of nothing. Now, after the corp of engineers widened and deepened the Missouri, a flood can be a major disaster.
But, we have regular barge traffic.

AgamemnonParticipantI believe that on the part of its chief publishing advocates, it absolutely is. Plus of course there’s active congressional level politics associated with it. For example the CIA did an assessment of the security risks involved with climate change and a rep-led congress made serious moves to suppress it. The Pentagon is involved in serious studies about the effects of climate change on military deployment and there were congressional efforts to block all further such studies.
I believe in climate change. I believe we have been living in a golden age. I just don’t believe man has that much effect. I do believe some interests try to make it political. I find nothing wrong with the CIA and the Pentagon doing studies or anybody else.

AgamemnonParticipantIf the offensive line is playing better, as they appeared to do in the Jets game, then Goff just has play better than Petty played last week and the Rams win. imo
Also, Goff has the arm talent Keenum lacks. The Miami defense will have to respect that and that should open things up a bit, because Miami will have to defend more stuff than they would if Keenum was the QB. imo
AgamemnonParticipantNovember 16, 2016 at 1:22 am in reply to: informal poll #2 … what do you expect of Goff this game? (Miami) #58528
AgamemnonParticipantI think it is time for Goff to get some real game reps. I am not sure how he will start. I want him to be better a couple games down the road. Maybe he can do as well as Bradford did?
It would be nice to see why we drafted Goff. Is it right to expect that in his first game? I don’t know?

AgamemnonParticipantRams bench Case Keenum for Jared Goff
Rams bench Case Keenum for Jared Goff
Posted by Michael David Smith on November 15, 2016, 12:48 PM EST
DETROIT, MI – OCTOBER 16: Jared Goff #16 of the Los Angeles Rams warms up prior to the start of the game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on October 16, 2016 in Detroit, Michigan. The first overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft is finally about to get on the field.
The Rams will start Jared Goff on Sunday against the Dolphins, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.
That reverses what coach Jeff Fisher said two days ago, when he insisted that Case Keenum would remain the team’s starting quarterback. Apparently Fisher has decided something has to change with his team’s terrible offense.
In their first year in Los Angeles, the Rams have struggled on offense all season, with Keenum simply not able to produce big plays. The fact that Goff has stayed on the bench despite Keenum’s poor play has led many to believe that he must look so bad in practice that Fisher can’t justify putting him on the field. But now we’ll all get to see how he looks on Sunday.

Fisher flips: Goff will start at QB for Rams
By Jim Thomas St. Louis Post-Dispatch 2 hrs ago (0)
The wait is over for Jared Goff, and for Rams fans waiting to see the rookie quarterback in action. He will start this Sunday against Miami.
During his Monday media session, coach Jeff Fisher re-iterated that Goff was still the backup.
“He’s No. 2, and he’s a play away from playing,” Fisher told Rams reporters. “He’s ready, he’s preparing, and doing well.”
But Fisher apparently had a change of heart. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported late Tuesday morning that Goff would start Sunday’s home game against the Miami Dolphins and that the team’s quarterbacks were informed of the decision earlier Tuesday morning.
The Rams later confirmed that Goff would start against the Dolphins, replacing Case Keenum.
Keenum currently ranks 30th out of 33 NFL quarterbacks in passer rating, at 76.8. He has completed 191 of 313 passes (61.0 percent), for 2,169 yards with nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Only Ryan Fitzpatrick of the New York Jets has thrown more interceptions, with 13.
The Rams rank 31st in total offense and are last in scoring offense, averaging 15.4 points per game. They have scored only 29 points over their last three games, although they did manage to beat the Jets 9-6 Sunday on three Greg Zuerlein field goals.
The Rams gave up six draft picks, including first_ and third-rounders in the 2017 draft, to move up to the No. 1 overall spot for Goff, who played in college at California-Berkeley.
Goff struggled in the preseason, completing only 44.9 percent of his passes (22 for 49), with two TDs and two interceptions for a 55.8 passer rating. He was a game-day inactive for the regular-season opener, with Sean Mannion dressing as the backup to Keenum.
Since then, Goff has been in uniform as the No. 2 quarterback, although he has yet to play in a game.
AgamemnonParticipantRams finally make QB switch, Jared Goff to start vs. Dolphins in Week 11
Jeff Fisher is finally caving and giving Goff a go and putting Case Keenum on the benchby Will Brinson @WillBrinson 2h ago • 1 min read
The Rams are finally making the move to Jared Goff. Being 4-5 and coming off a 9-6 victory is as good a time as any to make a drastic change, so Jeff Fisher and the Rams are turning to the top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen first reported the news.
Goff, taken No. 1 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, has yet to attempt a regular-season throw for the Rams. Case Keenum started the first nine games for Los Angeles.
The rookie will get to begin his career in front of the home crowd — probably a pretty reasonable part of the equation to starting Keenum last week in New York — against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
In terms of the timing for this start, things are a little weird. Many people believed Goff should have started out of the gates, and the play of Keenum pretty much justified that for several parts of the season.
Jared Goff is finally going to start for the Rams. USATSIKeenum’s game-ending interception in London against the Giants was horrific. Los Angeles has managed to score more than 20 points just twice this season.
Maybe Goff wasn’t ready to operate the offense, because of his transition from Sonny Dykes’ “Bear Raid” offense to whatever it is that the Rams run.
It’s hard to imagine that moving to a rookie quarterback, even one with 10 weeks of learning and nine weeks of clipboard holding, is going to magically transform the Rams offense. In other words, this doesn’t look like Los Angeles making some bold playoff push by going with the youngster.
The Rams were in limbo at 4-5, clearly not dangerous enough to really make a playoff run and clearly limited by their quarterback. Seeing what Goff can do and getting him live reps in games for the stretch run makes sense.
PointAfter | GraphiqPressure from outside was even more intense for Goff, because of the success of Carson Wentz with the Eagles (No. 2 overall) and Dak Prescott of the Cowboys (fourth-round) so far this season. Even the Browns have gotten an extended look at Cody Kessler in the regular season.
It’s hard to imagine Goff causes them to crater and miss the postseason. Maybe he’s better. If that’s the case, then suddenly he gets some momentum headed into his second year.

AgamemnonParticipantI agree that the depleting water reserves issue is a huge problem though obviously I disagree with you on the impact of climate change.
Here’s the thing about climate change. Whether you believe the current episode is being driven by man’s activities or not, climate change ALWAYS leads to large extinction events. So no matter what, it will be an issue.
I believe the climate is constantly changing. We have had a golden period in the history of the earth. How long will that last? It took 10 minny ice ages to kill the large mammals in North America or maybe the humans did it?
It is ok to think I am wrong. I won’t get upset.

AgamemnonParticipant
AgamemnonParticipantAnyway, I am actually not into debating this…mostly cause it would (ironically) take energy. I am just one of those who is thoroughly convinced by the climate change argument. I’m just voting out loud. So we’ll just have to differ on this one.
.
I am not into debating this… either. Just voting that I don’t believe in man caused climate change. It doesn’t bother me if others think differently. I believe is less pollution etc. etc., but not because of the man caused climate change argument.
