AgamemnonParticipantRams claim Mike Purcell off waivers from 49ers
Posted by Josh Alper on May 3, 2017, 5:19 PM EDT
Getty ImagesThe 49ers cleared space for rookie additions to their roster on Tuesday by parting ways with 13 players, one of whom they may be seeing a couple of times during the 2017 season.
The Rams have claimed defensive tackle Mike Purcell off of waivers.
Purcell signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2013 and spent most of two years on the practice squad before playing two games late in the 2014 season. He played 23 games and started eight times the last two years, recording 42 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in those outings.
Purcell played in a 3-4 base defense during his time with the 49ers and the Rams are moving to one with Wade Phillips at the helm this season. That experience may help Purcell as he competes for a role up front in L.A. this year.

Ha, we did get to claim somebody off waivers. I have no idea who he is.
Big nose tackle.

uper smart workaholic.tested as one of fastest players at the senior bowl on the field during practice..doesn’t play that fast a McVay type..will kill zones..instant productionbad part never makes a db miss, easily tackled, not overly physical but you have to start somewhereI will have to disagree with that part.

He has a 50+ TD run where he makes one guy miss and breaks a tackle. There are more highlights like that. How about his punt return? How about his stiff arm?

AgamemnonParticipantI am going to trust Phillips on the defense.
I am going to trust Fassel on Special Teams.
I am going to trust Kromer on the offensive line.
I will see, McVay as he goes Martz on the offense. 😉
I will see what Snead does without Fisher.
I will see if Demoff’s protege can handle the cap and contracts.

AgamemnonParticipantI like him. He’s good. Thanks for posting it.
But it’s hard to watch his facial ticks and twitches. If that sounds harsh…but still!
So he might consider just doing a voiceover.
I actually don’t usually like his stuff. But, I thought he did fine on Kupp. He had a nice detailed breakdown under the video.
AgamemnonParticipantThis guy might consider doing voiceover and not putting himself in the picture.
It was late and there wasn’t anything else on.
AgamemnonParticipantEWU receiver Cooper Kupp has been the fastest player for the North Team (20.7 mph max velocity) via @CatapultSports and @RosterWatch

Check the how fast is fast post, above. Some of the fastest players are barely over 22 mph. So he is quick. Top end isn’t too bad. But his 40 time sux. 😉
btw, Gurley said he did a 23 in one of the ?minicamp interviews.
In the video above, at 2:20, Gurley says he did like a 23.5.l

AgamemnonParticipantI am sure the udfras are coaches picks(somehow those guys have a way of making the team. 😉 ), maybe a scout’s favorite. When they start talking about paying a bonus to them, then I think Snead would have to have some say in that.
It is also a bit of to Snead to sell the coaches on some picks. imo The coaches say maybe this is the type of player I want. It is up to Snead to see they don’t pass up talent to satisfy the coaches. Fit is a legitimate concept. So is working the draft. But number one should be talent. The ultimate goal has to be to maximize the talent you acquire in the draft. imo
AgamemnonParticipantJustin Davis is my top UDFA. He’s a solid backup that has size and speed and experience.
Penton is a great nickel … plays angry.
Dravorious Wright I think will surprise people, overshadowed by Josh Jones at NC state …
Johnny Mundt had to deal with weird QB and scheme stuff at Oregon or he would have been valued higher.
Eldrenkamp I had graded in the mid to late rounds …
Good to hear that about the udfas. I didn’t see much to excite me, but I will trust what alyoshamucci says.

AgamemnonParticipantLooking at these highlights, Reynolds does remind me a bit of Danario Alexander, like IR said in the chat room. It’s like he;s a cross between some Danario DNA plus some Brandon Lloyd DNA.
That is good for Reynolds, but when Danario was healthy, he was AJ Green, Julio Jones good. What he was for the Rams was only a fraction of his talent. Same with Jeremy Macklin. Macklin was another level over what he is now in the pros while he was in college, before he got hurt. Danario healthy was better than Macklin healthy. They were that good.

Rams Agree to Terms with 11 Undrafted Free Agents
Posted 1 hour ago
Nate Bain Digital Media Manager @natebain
After drafting eight prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams’ work continued on Saturday evening. Rams personnel were busy working to add to the Rams 2017 rookie class.
Each year, NFL teams have key contributors make the 53-man roster or practice squad as undrafted free agents. Los Angeles is no different. On the current roster, players such as wide receiver Bradley Marquez and linebacker Cory Littleton have made an impact with the Rams after going undrafted.
Los Angeles has agreed to terms with 11 undrafted free agents after the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
Note: These UDFA players have not officially signed with the club, only agreed to terms.
Ishmael Adams – DB – UCLA
Jared Collins – DB – Arkansas
Kevin Davis – ILB – Colorado State
Justin Davis – RB – USC
Jake Eldrenkamp – OL – Washington
Anthony McMeans – OL – New Mexico State
Johnny Mundt – TE – Oregon
Folarin Orimolade – OLB – Dartmouth
Aarion Penton – DB – Mizzou
Casey Sayles – DT – Ohio
Dravious Wright – DB – NC StateOk, this is official. If all these players sign, they will need to cut 2 players to get to a 90 man roster. imo
AgamemnonParticipantRams Announce 11 Undrafted Rookie Signings
Blue and Gold
Here’s the list of rookies signed to contract:
Ishmael Adams/DB/UCLA
Jared Collins/DB/Arkansas
Aarion Penton/DB/Mizzou
Dravious Wright/DB/N.C. State
Kevin Davis/ILB/Colorado State
Folarin Orimolade/OLB/Dartmouth
Casey Sayles/DT/OhioJake Eldrenkamp/OL/Washington
Anthony McMeans/OL/New Mexico State
Johnny Mundt/TE/Oregon
Justin Davis/RB/USCI need to verify this, but I will trust it for now. The New Mexico lineman is a center that Kromer liked. I didn’t think we had room to sign 11 players. I will have to check that too. I was thinking we only had room for 9.
