    WHAT SEATTLE FANS ARE SAYING

    ——

I initially thought it would be competitive, and I could certainly be wrong here, and I don’t mean any disrespect..

But when I saw Earl Thomas go down….I just don’t see Seattle having a player that can win their match up at any position except for Wagner.

    ——-

Being at home should make a difference – but it’s hard to imagine this one being close.

That said, I’m sure it won’t be as bad as last years game….something like 35-13 with the Rams scoring two TDs in the 2nd half to pull away.

    ——–

We’re probably going to get obliterated.

But I’ve seen so many thrilling down-to-the-last second Seahawks vs Rams games, I won’t be shocked if it becomes surprisingly close either.

    ——-

This is exactly the kind of game we inexplicably win by multiple TD’s, then never play nearly as well again and finish 8-8

    ——–

We are going to get killed……………

    ——-

Not so sure about that. The Seahawks are going to be amped up and READY for the Rams. Will that be enough? Who knows? Stranger things have happened (Bills destroying the Vikings anyone?) so I definitely like that this is a home game.

If the Rams still blow us out then crown their asses, I would be okay with that.

But this game is in October. How will they look in January? As a Rams fan, you have to admit that is a valid question.

    ——

We’ve beaten better Rams teams than this

    ——-

I just don’t get the assuming they will get blown out. But oh well, predictions are like….well you know.

    ——

It wont be a blowout because the Rams will take their foot off the pedal when the game is in hand (early on). The score wont dictate how lopsided the game truly will be

    ——

Wow. So, IF the Hawks lose a close game, it’s because the Rams were holding back. Not because the Hawks played hard and gave them a good battle. But if the Rams smoke the Hawks, it’s because the Hawks suck. Got it.
Rams are the best team in the league, we get it. But my god, this team can do no right by you can they?

    —–

Each NFL team is one injury to a star player away from their season being greatly affected, if not making it a total disaster.. Crowning champs, or as some talking heads were claiming the Rams receiver corps could be the best ever before the season is even halfway through is comical.

    ——

IIRC, Bobby Wagner played hurt (I believe it was a hamstring issue) during the Rams game last season in Seattle. Gurley ran wild on the Seahawks in that game. A healthy Bobby W. will help contain Gurley as they have been able to do so in the past prior to that game. Who knows KJ Wright may be back as well. Hopefully Kendricks gets another week.

    —–

The Seahawks need to be stout upfront because without Thomas back there, the secondary has taken a huge blow. McDougald is fine but the rest are shaky – Thompson, Luani, Hill….yikes. Need their best game from the front 7 in this one.

    —–

As much as I dislike the Rams, they are one hell of a football team, period.

    ——

Rams opponents, not including the games they faced the Rams, are 4-7-1 this year. The Rams have also played 3 home games. The Seahawks opponents, assuming Denver hangs on to beat KC, are 6-6 this year. The Seahawks have played 1 home game.

Take that for what it’s worth.

    —–

Early spread is the Rams -7.5.

If I were a betting man, I’d take the Seahawks against the spread. We might not win, but we will be in it with an opportunity to win at the end. That may just be the fan in me, because without Earl Thomas, I’m afraid that our secondary will not be able to contain the receivers of the Rams. Goff found the ability to throw the deep ball this past year and without Earl its going to be hard for us to defend. However, RW keeps games close even when we are not favored. Over a touchdown is always too many points to take against him.

When things are going poorly, hope is all that you have, so I love it when opposing fans still have hope prior to the game.

Because as the game unfolds I know that hope is draining away.

    Then they have nothing.

    And I laugh.

I never get enough of crowd shots. Nothing quite like seeing a couple of people who spent an hour putting on paint and strange costumes sitting with slumped shoulders, looking like they got caught for an hour in a downpour.

WHAT SEATTLE FANS ARE SAYING…Post Game Edition

Announcers already showing their bias, Goff MVP already?

so our defense holds, offense does nothing, play calling and design sucks, and then our not so special teams sets them up.

That’s two stops by the defense, offense needs to pull their weight now, can’t ask the defense to dodge bullets all day.

penalties are goibg to be the deciding factor. 2 big ones for us, none for them.

well they adjusted now we need to. wow that was quick.

That was too easy. Lots of missed tackles and missed assignments on defense.

agreed but to be honest its not Goff so much as the system he is in. it fits him. thats what happens when your OC builds a system aournd the QB.

wow RW had no time at all.

    Blowout begins….

TD, that’s what happens when you have a great offensive scheme.gee wish we did that. but we don’t. we make it easy for the defense unless RW is improvising.

yeah we got lucky that was still to easy for them. Their offense is so creative, a stark contrast to ours.

I want nothing more than Dion to crush Goff

great play design, hope we are taking notes

the only time we are not predictable is when RW improvises, which is pathetic.

We need to eat clock, going for it shows the Rams are feeling the heat right now.

    I still hate Suh

That was the stop LA needed. Seattle can’t stop Rams O. Should be over now…..

no pressure, Goff has all day.

But he has zero time outs. Finally Pete didn’t blow ours!

    Shush, he has time yet

    I smell 3 and out….

Sure glad to see that Ifedi hasn’t forgotten how to jump offsides.

Suddenly everything starts to go sideways because we lose momentum due to penalties.

This is getting away from us

    C’mon BLOCK THIS PUNT

yup, we need to watch the fake

wow that was a wasted timeout we might need.

Why’d we waste our time out?

They are going QB sneak it.

We gave them a time out, Pete damn.

Wasted a TO after coming off a refs time out. Then the rams reconsider the punt and sneak it.
Pete just got out coached on that play.

    Stupidest timeout in Seahawks history

The game has passed Carroll by….

Let the Rams have their year. We’ll be back with better players soon enough.

    That’s all folks……

Way better showing by our guys than I expected.
Was super cool to be in the game till the end.
    Very disappointed in the finish.

Not the game I expected at all. We grinded the hell out of the ball. Rams moved at will.
Honestly, I thought we would get taken behind the woodshed. Pleasantly surprised.

I was thoroughly enjoying the game until Pete called the final timeout. I understand the logic behind it but I was scared of them going for it there and they had already put the punting team out there with no timeouts left to change their minds.

Pass defense was awful. Not having Earl really hurt.

Pete’s time-out boner still has me irked a bit.

Pass rush needs help and some questionable clock/TO management by Pete, but all in all a strong game.

For a team going against what is thought to be the best defense in the league right now, we gave them all they could handle.

I know several here do not like this offense. Pete has lost it. This style/philosophy is dated. It doesn’t work.
But, damn, I like it. I liked watching Suh and Donald get pushed around. We took it to them physically.

Really proud of our guys standing up to the bullies.
