Different offense with Gurley. Definitely runs through him. Defense seemed hot and cold to me last year. Kupp is a big return.
I see a lot of talk that last year was flukey. I don’t really see it. They were a good ball club the year before as well. Maybe not in for quite the year they had last year but I expect a good team. Tough draw week 1. A win could really set your season on the right track.
Oh, and pray to god that somebody blocks AaronDonald.

It’s cliche, but sending pressure to Goff messes him up. If you don’t blitz Goff he’s awesome, you blitz him he’s a turd. Their defense is very physical, but our ability to mix things up with Cam, Cmc and Samuel will keep them honest. Obviously Donald will get his, but we really need to roll cam out and run PA. Will we? I know we don’t typically roll cam out a lot but he’s excellent in PA and we need to capitalize on that.

I honestly don’t know much about the Rams other than their coach is young, energetic and innovative.
Ours is a case study in text book Boomer McBoomertons.

Jared Goff is very very overrated by national media. Sean McVay is an absolute genius. they have great WRs that can seperate. Cooks, Kupp and Woods. Big test for our secondary this weekend.
Defense is solid and they probably have the best defensive player in the league in Donald

The rumor is Gurley has a bad knee injury and may never be the same player he once was

I laughed.

I’d say that the mean temperature of the national media is that Goff is a marionette, and that McVay is responsible for his QBR. Seriously, I saw several writers speculating that the Rams would just let him go, and put some other body behind center…like that was a good plan.

And Goff isn’t just “overrated.” He is “very very overrated.”

That’s just hilarious to me.

You know…I don’t travel far on Rams sites, but none of the sites I do visit batted an eye at Goff’s extension. There must have been detractors somewhere, but I didn’t see any of them.

Goff has improved every year, and his mindset is proto for the position.

Extending Goff was as big a no-brainer as extending Donald. And at the end of this season, I expect the national media will be right there, telling us that they knew it right from his days at Berkeley.

Why in the world would anyone pay attention to what “the national media” say about…anything.

At any rate, concerning Goff, what I saw was that the “national media” loved him after the Chief game and hated him after the Patriot game. That is how they roll.
