In games that Jalen Ramsey has been healthy, he’s played 100% of the snaps each time.On Sunday, he played just 69% and Darious Williams played only 50%
Also, Malcolm Brown played the most snaps of the Rams’ three RBs, and Josh Reynolds outsnapped Cooper Kupp (again)

Shanahan is older than McVay, they know each other well and this seems to work in Shanahan’s favor.
McVay is a great coach but when someone has his number, he’s not good at having an effective countermove.
Anyway we’ve played some really good games this year and some pretty bad ones. The season is probably gonna continue like that.
You can’t write us off and you can’t pencil in any wins.

This hit me when the Bears shut the Rams down the same way the Patriots did in the Super Bowl. I couldn’t believe McVay hadn’t found an answer to that. And Miami did something similar this season, didn’t they?

IMO Miami was different. It was similar in the sense that a defensive scheme stymied the Rams and they didn’t seem to adjust to it. But the defenses in question were different. Seattle btw tried some of the Miami stuff and the Rams tore it up. So the issue IMO has to do with in-game tactics and adjustments. McVay seems tone deaf in-game in terms of changing the dynamics when his offense and/or qb are struggling. He doesn’t seem to shift out of what he’s doing and find something more effective. Compare that to Shanahan. The Rams defense adjusted in the 2nd half, and were taking it to them, but then Shanahan adjusted to the adjustment and was able to score twice on them late, taking the lead back–all with a back-up qb. McVay then had the same opportunity and couldn’t do anything with it.
November 30, 2020 at 5:39 pm #125095znModeratorAfter watching the tape, I thought the SF defense really shrunk the field and sat on everything underneath. They never really felt threatened vertically. The Rams needed to hit some deep balls to loosen things up. pic.twitter.com/ZzbitGbvK8

Rams G Austin Corbett is on with us this afternoon. The indication is that there are two major themes stemming from this loss, throughout film study and virtual meetings: Accountability, and camaraderie.Gary Klein@LATimesklein
McVay: “Jared knows that I support him. Jared knows that our staff, our players our coaches are going to work as hard as we can to be able to respond and I think we all know he’s wired the right way to be able to handle it and move on as well.”J.B. Long@JB_Long
“A little bit of a hip thing” in warmups, is how Sean McVay described the reduced role for Rams corner Jalen Ramsey yesterday.Greg Beacham@gregbeacham
CB Darious Williams only played 50% of the Rams’ snaps vs SF due to rotational decisions, Sean McVay says, partly because Jalen Ramsey was a bit limited himself with his hip injury. McVay thinks David Long completed well in his 22 snaps.December 1, 2020 at 12:08 am #125104znModeratorMike Sando@SandoNFL

Can’t find the tweet, though. Finding stuff on Tweeter is hard to do.

Except for at LT, this is a mediocre pass blocking O-line. When teams know the Rams are passing, watch out. McVay knows this – that’s why all the quick passes & shorter throws. Means not many deep shots and also why we see so many screens on 3rd & long.SeattleRams@seattlerams_nfl
Sad, but true. This is not the same level of play that we saw in 2018 with Whit, Saffold, And even SullySosa K@QBsMVP
Don’t look now, but John Johnson is now @PFF’s third-highest graded safety (84.9) in the NFL.What a player. JJ3 is really blossoming into a star right before our eyes.
