Observes @billbarnwell: "@JaredGoff16’s top six targets will all be 26 or younger in 2018."
In fact, #LARams don’t have a skill player over 26 on the roster, so unless Goff deploys @awhitworth77 as an eligible… ALL of his targets will be. https://t.co/cBLpZYpLGx

Rams by the numbers entering 2018
Team:
– With 10 victories in 2018 the Rams would have back-to-back seasons of 10+ wins for the first time since 2000 and 2001
– The Rams also need 10 or more wins to get back to .500+ all time as a franchise (currently 555-559-21, .498)
– If the Rams make the playoffs they will be the 6th franchise to have 29 or more playoff appearances (GB, NYG, DAL, PIT, MIN)
Players:
– Jared Goff could become the first Rams QB with back-to-back 3,500+ yard passing seasons since Marc Bulger in 2003 and 2004. He also needs 3,680+ passing yards and 20+ TDs to reach 10th place in franchise history.
– Todd Gurley needs 704 rushing yards to be the 6th Ram ever to reach 4,000+ career rushing yards (Jackson, Dickerson, Faulk, McCutcheon, Bass). He also needs 6 rushing TDs to reach 5th place on the Rams all-time list.
– Cooper Kupp needs 631 receiving yards to be just the 4th Ram with 1,500+ receiving yards in his first two NFL seasons (Holt, Bruce, Fears)
– Aaron Donald needs 11 sacks to become the 6th Ram with 50+ career sacks (Little, Greene, Carter, Quinn, Long)- not counting Deacon Jones, Jack Youngblood, etc. of course….
– Greg Zuerlein needs 9 FG to pass Mike Lansford for 2nd place in franchise history. He needs 25 XP for 4th place all-time (Wilkins, Lansford, Waterfield).
– Pharoh Cooper needs 841 combined return yards to become the 9th Ram ever with 2,500+ kick/punt return yards (R. Brown, Horne, D. Hill, Amendola, Arnett, Cunningham, W. Lewis, A. Haymond

Fellow sportswriters: What’s the biggest gaffe you’ve ever made during an interview with an athlete?Josh Weinfuss@joshweinfuss
I was interviewing Ted Ginn about catching passes from various Cardinals QBs. I asked how a QB’s balls felt. When we realized what I said we looked at each other for a long second, both nodded and then I walked away. We never finished the interview or mentioned it again.July 12, 2018 at 7:10 pm #88043InvaderRamModeratorJuly 12, 2018 at 7:37 pm #88045znModeratorNow we learn that the @profootballhof plans to focus less on Owens during the ceremony. I get it. However, as a voter, I think it's critically important to demonstrate that the process is never personal. This will be seen as personal. https://t.co/2N4D6Ng4Aa

“It’s not (only) the money, it’s the security.” – @AndrewBrandt former NFL exec and agent agrees the issue of guaranteed contracts are also about sustainable livelihood for players, a luxury many other leagues have.July 13, 2018 at 12:26 am #88058znModeratorOn all called screens in 2017, the #Rams led the NFL in yards per target (9.5), TDs (5) and ranked 2nd in % of screens that earned 15+ yards (20.3).
On HB screens, LAR ranked 2nd in YPT (13.0). On WR screens, LAR 2nd in YPT (7.5).
LAR was pretty #good on screens, I'd say.
