It’s no secret that the NFL has been getting younger.

I think teams are building their rosters differently. They are using more cheap labor so that they can fit more difference makers under the Cap. imo

B: It won’t matter for the people most angry or conspiracy folks. They’ll believe what they want. Even though it’s obvious it was human error.

C: What’s important is what can be done moving forward to help refs get it right

I’ve spent this last week navigating the heartache and disappointment from the game. Some things within our control and some outside our control that caused us to fall short. Everything that has ever happened to this community, we have bonded together, galvanized and leaped forward every time. The frustration we feel now can be channeled in the same way. Pour that passion and emotion into your families and communities. Inspire others with your focus & determination and positive outlook. This will make us stronger, this will bond us tighter, this will be a source for our success in the future. There is no place like New Orleans. There is no community like ours. No fans like the Who Dat Nation. I refuse to let this hold us down. I refuse to let this create any negativity or resentment. I embrace the challenge. It was a terrible call. And the #NFL admitted as much to the #Saints and Sean Payton. Which has been publicly disclosed. Not sure what the “bad look” is outside of the human error that was admitted to to the coach and owner. What more does anyone need?

Mistakes happen. If you’ve decided to be a sports fan or sports participant, you’ve pretty much signed off on the fact there is a human element that might one day rip your heart out and stomp on it

I’ve been following sports a long time. I am OK that sometimes humans just blow it. Even referees. It’s every bit a part of sports as a QB missing the obvious read and throwing a pick. I don’t need public “denouncing” I get the human element. We all F up.

Every Friday during the regular season I and many other reporters were sent an #NFL officiating video/breakdown from the previous Sunday in which calls were explained and mistakes were owned up to. I have no doubt the NFL is on the up and up.

Fun stat: @SportsInfo_SIS has the #LARams running 561 plays with 11 personnel/QB under center. No other team is above 200! Most teams tend to go shotgun when they go to 11 personnel.

The difference is the @RamsNFL try to make everything look the same & run a lot of same plays in their approach… we tried to make everything look different & ran plays weekly no one had seen before

This is certainly the key statistic that will determine the outcome of this year’s super bowl.

I think what the scoreboard shows will be secondary to this.
