the only thing is i think that’s michael hoecht in the 97 jersey which tells me that it’s an old video. poona ford wears the 97 jersey now and that is definitely not poona.

    Well damn. Good catch.

I swear I am always wary of EVERY vid i post these days. This post-modern-AI-internet is exasperating.

Aaron Donald posted this 5 minutes ago

He had to do it today, didn’t he? Because the roster is finalized today. After today, they would have to cut somebody who made the team in order to make room for him.

BREAKING: Aaron Donald is RETURNING to the NFL
Aaron Donald is officially coming out of retirement. The three-time defensive player of the year hinted at the possibility back in June after the Rams made a trade for Myles Garrett, and now, it’s officially going to happen, the team announced today.

When Donald retired, he still had one year and $30 million left on his contract and the two sides decided to restructure the deal. Donald will get $20 million in base pay, but the deal will be worth up to $30 million with incentives.

Over the past month, Donald worked out the Rams’ practice facility multiple times, which made it feel like a lock that he was going to return.

The Rams would have welcomed Donald back at any point, but today always felt like a soft deadline. With the team trimming their roster down to 53 players, the Rams likely wanted to know if they needed to included Donald on that list of 53.

On paper, the Rams defense was already one of the best in the NFL and it just got even better, even if Donald shows a little rust after two years in retirement.

If I understood him correctly, he essentially said he wouldn’t come back unless he could play like he used to play.

If he’s even close to his old self, oh my.

Yep. Welp, I know what I’m planning to do on September 10.

I fully expected this to happen, and I still can’t believe it.

Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett on the same DL.

The Rams just went from Must Watch TV to…something even more emphatic. Like a refinery fire, er something.

I had a feeling he would come back last year. And then last year came and went, and i finally accepted that he was never coming back. And now this.

I dont know what to expect from AD, but I’d be very happy with a B+ version of the old game-wrecker.

It will be interesting to see how many plays they use him. 20 plays a game would be fine with me.
