Ebukam flashed in his limited playing time. #Rams are very high on him. Will get every opportunity to win a starting job at one OLB spot

Don’t underestimate the control @OBJ_3 has here. Can literally pick his destination using long-term extension as leverage. No one is going to trade for him if he makes it clear he has no interest in signing an extension.

    Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Giants have asked for at least two first-round picks in return for Odell Beckham Jr., a league source tells ESPN, even though team insists it is not shopping him.

Doesn’t mean they get it, or close to it, or even trade OBJ. But they have asked for at least two first-round picks.

    Dan Patrick Show@dpshow
“Bringing Suh in to the picture to team with Aaron Donald, at least on paper makes them look really dominant. But I think McVay is gonna have his hands full with a locker room that has really turned over since last season.”

    J.B. Long@JB_Long
    Donald-Suh-Brockers amplified by this…

Final 2017 @PFF rankings for the other NFC West offensive lines:
    20. SF
    27. SEA
    31. ARI

#LARams putting a ton of pressure on division rivals to address those OL shortcomings ASAP.

Yes, work to be done at LB (through the Draft, presumably).

However, if goal of the offseason was to improve run defense, the @RamsNFL now have the 2nd (Suh), 10th (Brockers), and 12th (Donald) graded interior defenders against the run from 2017, per @PFF.

    That’ll play.

Five weeks out, quarterbacks are set to rule this NFL draft. Repeat after me, QBs go 1-2-3. Between the trades and free agency shaking things up.

Because of the hyperactive veteran quarterback market this NFL from Cousins to McCarron and all points in between as many as eight teams could field different Week 1 starters than the QB who closed out 2017 for them

Coaches and GMs I spoke with said they are all for the NFL’s lowering the head/targeting rule – including in-game ejections. They have to coach new techniques. Players will adjust. A GM and coach told me that this is the best measure that has been taken to reduce head injuries

The changes to the “what is a catch rule?,” were passed by owners 32-0. Possession. Two feet down. Football move.

    Andrew Siciliano@AndrewSiciliano
Goodell says coaches support use of replay for decisions on potential ejections for illegal lowering of the helmet.

Goodell on moving @nflnetwork to new @RamsNFL stadium: “We’re anxious to be a part of it, and we’re anxious to bring more events there.”

    Peter Schrager@PSchrags
The 2011 Eagles “Dream Team” didn’t work out. True.

But the 1995 49ers sure did.

It’s hard to win football games. Acquiring great players often helps.

    Sam Monson@PFF_Sam
Gruden once asked Tom Moore why Peyton’s backups didn’t get more reps ‘Fellas, if 18 goes down we’re fucked, and we don’t practice fucked.’

Passer rating when kept clean in the pocket is one of the most stable numbers you can find, potentially predictive because of it.

The money in new Rams DT Ndamukong Suh’s deal is very real — per source, he gets a fully guaranteed $14 million base salary for 2018 in his one-year deal. Incentives can push it to $15 million.

Debate over the Josh McDaniels rule in the meeting room got a little heated. Argument against: Shouldn’t punish winning teams for being alive. Argument for: These circumstances aren’t a problem in college football, and shouldn’t put winning assistants at a disadvantage.

all 32 teams are represented at Lamar Jackson’s pro day.

“I think we can be the best. We’re going to set our goals high.” -@sonofbum on the Rams new-look secondary on tonight’s episode 2 of Behind the Grind.

“Anytime you get two new players, it’s pretty exciting. But when you get two really tremendous players who have proven they can play in this league, it’s I think really special.” – @sonofbum on the Rams adding @AqibTalib21 and @marcuspeters

In the episode, Easley says he had two surgeries to repair the knee he injured in the first week of training camp, one to repair the LCL in August and another to repair the ACL in October.

“We got all these ball players, playmakers. Football is going to be fun.” — @marcuspeters going thru the new Rams secondary after ticking off Talib, Robey-Coleman, Webster, Joyner.

“See ball, get ball. It’s as simple as that.” – @marcuspeters explaining the secret to all those takeaways so early in his NFL career

“You’re going to witness the best, the best doing it, man. I’ve had a lot of D coordinators in the league. Not downplaying none of the D coordinators I’ve had, but Wade Phillips is a Hall of Fame D coordinator.” – @AqibTalib21 to @marcuspeters on @sonofbum

“We’ve got an attacking, aggressive offense. If we can get a suffocating D, too, that even better,” – Les Snead

    what was goff’s?

From October: Goff leads the NFL with a QB rating of 128 with a clean pocket. https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/10/04/fantasy-football-week-5-target-and-snap-report-jared-goff-rams

From December 9: What’s more, the premier NFL analytics website ProFootballFocus.com rates Goff 12th in passer rating against blitzes, and 12th in a clean pocket. In other words, Goff is just as effective when teams pressure him with extra pass-rushers. That’s mighty impressive for a Year 2 QB. http://torontosun.com/sports/football/goff-vs-wentz-nfls-next-gen-qb-rivalry-begins

From December 20: After finishing 24th in pass blocking efficiency a season ago, they are 15th this season, with Goff posting a 108.8 rating when blessed with a clean pocket. https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-2017-pffelo-nfl-power-rankings-week-16
