    Like everyone else, I didn’t like Jackson’s The Hobbit. But they did get Smaug right.

    I ran across this, I thought it was realling interesting. Watch the whole thing.

    Well, Cumberbatch is very talented, to state the obvious, and he did a great job with the dragon-audio, but I thought the dragon-scenes ultimately failed because of the plot-visuals. The scenes reminded me of the kind of bad-movie scenes where the bad guys shoot a gazillion bullets that always miss the target, etc. I mean, i half expected the dragon to slip on a banana peel at some point.

    The only smaug scene I like is the one I post, with the encounter between him and Bilbo. I don’t think that one fits your description. The rest was made up goofy nonsense (like him chasing the dwarfs around).
