n the least surprising news of the free agency legal tampering period, DT Ndamukong Suh is not expected to be back with the Los Angeles Rams:

Here’s the entire tidbit from NFL insider Ian Rapoport:

No surprises here. Suh was signed last season on a one-year $14m deal after he was cut by the Miami Dolphins, though was universally seen as only a one-year rental. The most interesting part of that blurb was that the Rams weren’t pleased with Suh’s regular season performance, and it’s understandable considering how dominant Suh was in the past.
In his lone season as a Ram, Suh registered 59 tackles, 4.5 sacks, four tackles-for-loss, and 19 quarterback hits.

The Rams could be entitled to a compensatory draft pick depending on how much Suh signs for.

This year, anything over $10/yr resulted in a 3rd round comp pick. I was disappointed in Suh.

i woulda rather kept suh for one more year than fowler.

but it all depends on the draft. maybe they figure they can get a blue chip dl prospect in the first round and then an edge rusher later. then you got a bunch of edge rushers you can rotate and a dlineman you can plug in right away with donald and brockers.

basically i’m guessing they think their chances of getting a top notch dlineman with the first pick is much higher than getting a top notch edge rusher with the same pick.

I really hate that Suh coasted. This draft, unless some top pass rusher drops, is more about Dline in the first round. imo
Snead likes to trade. I got my favorites, but as long as we get a good player/s I am fine.
