July 8, 2024 at 8:03 pm #151364znModeratorThe NFC West has run the gamut of quality in the past 15 years, perhaps more than any other division. Because while the AFC and NFC South divisions have been terrible, they’ve rarely if ever been stacked since 2010. Whereas the AFC North is stacked, and has had some softer years than others, that division has been difficult for anyone to win without a lot of luck. And while the AFC West has weak teams like the Raiders, it is so hard to get a division title if you’re not the Kansas City Chiefs.
But the NFC West has had every identity in the last 10-15 years.
In 2010, the Seahawks won the division with a 7-9 record. Then in 2011, the 49ers became a short-term powerhouse under Jim Harbaugh, followed by Seattle becoming one of the league’s most consistently successful team beginning in 2012 and that probably lasted until 2021. Then of course, the Rams made the Super Bowl in 2018 and 2021, winning the latter and making the playoffs again in 2023. Even the Arizona Cardinals enjoyed some success when they had Bruce Arians and Carson Palmer.
What is the NFC West right now?
This list ranking divisions by Canada’s TPS station, the NFC West ranked third overall and was noted that the division has sent at least two teams to the playoffs in each of the past six seasons.

Even in his final year, Aaron Donald was just on a different level.Overall pass-rush win rate on 3rd and 4th down:
Donald: 28.6%
Nick Bosa: 28.1%
Myles Garrett: 28.0%28% is a crazy number. For an INTERIOR player to lead the league is even crazier.
Shoutout to Dexter Lawrence who was 4th as a freaking nose tackle.

Will anyone ever break Flipper Anderson’s single-game receiving record of 336 yards? The record hasn’t been touched in 35 years. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson were close with 329 yards in 2013.JimEverett.eth@Jim_Everett
Records are made to be broken but I can attest…that night was special and @Flipper_83 did it ALL!July 16, 2024 at 12:15 am #151411znModeratorfrom Three Los Angeles Rams Featured New Top 100 NFL Ranking: https://www.lafbnetwork.com/los-angeles-rams-featured-top-100-snub-top-50/
Los Angeles Rams on PFN’s Top 100
52) Matthew Stafford, QB
Matthew Stafford looked cooked in 2022 but recovered for an exceptional 2023 campaign with the upstart Rams. He ranked second in PFF’s big-time throw rate while posting the fourth-best turnover-worthy play rate, a deadly combination that earned Stafford the second Pro Bowl nod of his career.
Injuries will be a concern as he ages, but Stafford is one of the toughest players in the NFL.
Stafford’s Rank Among QBs: 9th
56) Puka Nacua, WR
Puka Nacua’s 2023 receiving totals weren’t in the same dimension as any other rookie wideout. He had 500+ more yards and 20+ more receptions than Chiefs WR Rashee Rice, the next-best in both categories.
The Rams 2023 5th round darft pick statistics could only be compared to those of other high-end NFL receivers. Nacua ranked top six league-wide in targets (163), receptions (114), receiving yards (1,667), and yards per route run (2.75), all of which were new NFL rookie records.
Nacua’s Rank Among WRs: 9th
59) Cooper Kupp, WR

Cooper Kupp won the NFL’s receiving triple crown with a 145-1,947-16 line in 2021, but injuries, age, and absurd usage have caught up to him as he enters his age-31 campaign. He’s missed 13 games over the past two seasons and is now the second-best pass catcher on his own team. Can Kupp stay healthy and rebound in 2024?
Kupp’s Rank Among WRs: 10th

In the space below, you’ll see our rankings of these triplets. The first number in parentheses is the team’s average ranking based on the votes of several of our staff writers and editors at CBSSports.com, while the second number reflects the high and low end of where our staffers ranked that individual team.
Tier 2: Just Shy of Elite
6. Los Angeles Rams (Avg: 6.9, High: 2, Low: 15)
Last year: 17th
QB: Matthew Stafford RB: Kyren Williams WR: Puka Nacua
Speaking of the Rams… what a rise for L.A. after a wildly disappointing 2022 season. The dual breakout of Williams and Nacua was one of the best stories of 2023, and they, along with Cooper Kupp returning healthy from the injury that limited him last offseason and Stafford being able to stay upright behind a much-improved offensive line, led to an L.A. resurgence. I’ll admit to being surprised about that No. 2 vote, but they deserve to be in this group of teams.

Dan Orlovsky. The ESPN NFL analyst appeared on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday, explains why he believes the Rams offense is “going to be awesome”.
“I think they’re going to be awesome. Awesome,” Orlovsky said. “I think the Rams are going to be as difficult an offense to contend that we have in the league. Maybe San Francisco, but like, the Rams offensive line is going to be awesome. They took Blake Corum, so their one-two with Kyren is going to be devastating. The two receivers are fantastic when it comes to winning on the edge. So I think the Rams offense is going to be great – and look, I don’t think Stafford throws for a gajillion yards because they’re going to run the ball so much.”
