    6. Los Angeles Rams (4-2) | Last Week’s Rank: 10

The Rams are a first-place team after six games and still way ahead of any realistic rebuilding schedule under first-year coach Sean McVay after the triumph over the Jaguars. They probably aren’t the team to beat in the NFC West, not after losing to the Seahawks a couple weeks ago. But they show no signs at this point of disappearing from the race.

    11 Los Angeles Rams
    Last week’s ranking: 13

Most recent result: W, 27-17 vs. Jaguars

Why they’re here: Sean McVay’s offense has been the story thus far for the Rams, but it was the third phase of the game that saved them vs. the Jags. A kickoff return for TD and blocked punt return for TD boosted them to their third road victory in three attempts, a sign that one of football’s youngest rosters is playing beyond its age. They’re now in first in the NFC West.

    9. Los Angeles Rams
    2017 record: 4-2
    Week 6 ranking: No. 11

The Rams are heading into one of the toughest stretches of the year. Seven of their next eight games are against teams that are currently .500 or better, and six of those games are against conference foes and three will be division games.

    Week Six power rankings

    9. Rams (4-2): Yes, they could be 6-0. But after 4-12 in 2016, 4-2 looks pretty good.

    9. Los Angeles Rams (4-2, LW: 12)
On a day when the Rams passing offense didn’t do much, Todd Gurley was huge. He had 116 rushing yards against a tough defense. That’s what you need out of a foundation running back.

They were playing fill in the blank.

Question was: The best two teams in the NFC are______________?

Philadelphia was the immediate answer. Then there was a long pause. Then one of the Mikes said “I think you have to at least think about the Rams.”

Then without another word about the Rams they talked about Carolina being possibly the next team.

Short, but interesting. Would have liked to hear them discuss pros cons of the Rams as the next best team in the NFC.

“…“I call it addition by subtraction,” Snead said, recalling his mindset at the onset of the offseason. “Let’s think about subtracting anybody who we deemed unreliable. And you can do that before you add anybody. And then from there…”

Well it sure looks like Mc-Snead is a better combo than Snisher was.

Its only been one year, but so far it looks that way.

    Does that mean anything?
