In ESPN’s latest edition of their weekly power rankings, the Rams dropped a single spot, going from #7 to #8. Lindsey Thiry, ESPN’s beat reporter for the team, had this to say about the Rams following Week 3.

There was plenty of uncertainty about how the Rams’ offense, more specifically the backfield, would perform without Gurley, who was the focal point of the unit over the previous five seasons. The Rams turned to a committee approach with running backs Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr. and Malcolm Brown, and through three weeks, it should be considered a resounding success. After three games, the Rams rank second with 511 total rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.

    8. Los Angeles Rams (2-1. Last week: 5)

Well, give the Rams credit. On the same day that the Falcons blew their second straight seemingly insurmountable lead, Sean McVay’s team nearly did to the Bills what the Patriots did to the Falcons in Super Bowl LI — take a 28-3 lead, and shove it right down your opponent’s throat.

Buffalo allowed four touchdowns in a little more than 15 clock minutes of football between the third and fourth quarters after cracking open that lead. Aaron Donald turned back in to Aaron Donald.

There was a really bad fumble call that went against Bills tight end Tyler Kroft that helped to swing things in the Rams’ favor…

But after the Rams took a 32-28 lead with 4:30 left in the game, and aided as he was by a highly questionable pass interference call on cornerback Darious Williams, Josh Allen managed to claw his way to a three-yard touchdown pass to the aforementioned Tyler Kroft. It was a heartbreaking first loss for the Rams in 2020, but they had seven of those losses last season, and they look a lot better overall in 2020.

    9. Los Angeles Rams

What we learned: They can score in a hurry. Buffalo provided the Rams with their biggest test of the early season. Los Angeles lost for the first time, but Sean McVay has to feel good about the way his team battled back from a 28-3 deficit to take a fourth-quarter lead. The Rams scored touchdowns on four straight possessions at one point in the second half, with Jared Goff connecting time and again with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. Los Angeles got a bad break on a pass interference call late, but it also got a favorable break earlier on an interception. The defense has corrections to make, but the offense is firing on all cylinders. Through three weeks, the Rams rank second in EPA per snap on offense. With matchups against the Giants and Washington the next two weeks, they have to be pleased with where they are.

Did anybody see anything on that fumble call on Kroft? The only time I saw it referenced was in a CBS article that stated it as uncontroversial fact. Looked to me like that was not a TO.
