Miami is 3-3 with the 16th ranked defense (3rd in points) and 22nd ranked offense. They can;t run and can’t defend the run. Starting a rookie qb. But it’s a road game on a short week and Miami did beat SF.

I think we should beat them without thinking about it too hard. stinky fish.

    Avoid Miami CB Xavien Howard

He’s legitimately very good. PFF rates him 9th in the NFL among CBs. Has 4 INT and 6 PD through 6 games.

On Tua. In some ways the timing for starting him is odd because the offense was OK under Fitzpatrick and they are very much in the AFC playoff hunt. But also switching during their by week makes sense too. I had assumed they would shelf him as long as possible this season given the hip injury and rehab, maybe starting him the final 3 games or something if/when they were out of it.

He has a lot of good traits- calm, accurate, good pocket awareness and can move, has been a winner against top competition, etc. Didn’t get extensive work in camp and obviously no preseason.

I am assuming the Rams come hard at him from the left side. They should not underestimate him or think he will be flustered. But at the same time confuse him and make him find 2nd and 3rd reads as much as possible while applying pressure.

Their RBs are averaging 3.4 YPC and if the Rams can play good run defense like vs. CHI I like our odds.

rams should win this right? a little worried it will be a tougher game than it should be.

excited to see robinson finally activated. probably minimal snaps this sunday though.

“..with Tagovailoa now under center, the Rams will have to change their defensive game plan at least slightly. Fitzpatrick is an aggressive-style quarterback who’s not afraid to take shots downfield and throw into tight coverage, but Tagovailoa doesn’t necessarily have those same attributes. He’s a precision passer who likes the get the ball out quickly…”
