stafford today: 27 att for 165 yds. minus kupp’s td catch – 26 att for 96 yds. minus kupp’s next longest catch – 25 att for 62 yds. minus sack yardage – 25 att for 35 yds. excluding 2 passes to kupp, stafford threw 25 times for a net 35 yards on the day – how is this possible?

The Rams now sit at 3-5 and with the schedule remaining, the season is likely done. Seattle looks much better in the NFC West right now as does SF. Lost a tiebreaker to TB today. It’s done.

If you need to know why the Rams run “soft-zone”, Evans beating Kendrick deep and still getting a flag is example A.

The Rams scored 0 points in the fourth quarter. It’s the sixth time in eight games that they haven’t scored a fourth quarter point.

This offense used to thrive in game-winning/closing situations. 13 points, insurmountable 3 and outs on the other side of defensive stops. Just unacceptable lows here.

Cooper Kupp: “It’s very frustrating. Defense did such an incredible job. Goal-line stand there on 4th down. Get an opportunity to run on the field to close the game out – a first down wins the game. The defense knows you’re running the ball. We know we’re running the ball.

and you’ve got to find a way to move the line of scrimmage, get the ball 10 yards. And we couldn’t. And that is…that is very frustrating. It makes you kind of sick to your stomach, knowing that the guys on defense, what they’ve done, the preparation and work that goes into

it. You get an opportunity to win three plays; average 3 1/3 yards, and we weren’t able to make it.”

Rams’ DB Jalen Ramsey, like most of his teammates, was upset after the loss. Asked him if he thought the defense would be back on the field after he batted down a 4th down ball in the end zone in the final minutes: “We should not have been.” The frustration with the offense’s

inability to get a first down and run out the clock was widespread. In fact, the inefficiency of the offense has reached a critical time with head coach Sean McVay said things will change, be it personnel, his play calling, scheme shifts.

8 of 12 Rams possessions (not counting kneeldown or end kickoff) resulted in a three and out on Sunday. Through 8 games, 38.9% of possessions after defense forces three and out/turnover on downs have been followed by Rams three and outs, per @TruMediaSports query (24th in NFL).

I know Rams DEF gave up that final touchdown, sure. But Rams offense gained 9 (nine) first downs, finished with 206 total yards, averaged 3.7 yards per play, and had 8 (eight) three-and-outs. Not a winning performance. Not even close.

You can talk about injuries and an inefficient run game, but the fact that the Rams are getting utterly crushed in fourth quarters, to me, points to something quite different and I honestly can’t quite put my finger on it right now.

    Rams HQ @RAMSHQNFL
Respect for Jalen Ramsey saying the defense did not deserve to go back on the field one last time after a huge 4th down stop.

The offense should have done everything to get that first and close the game out. Stafford and McVay have gotten soft and that needs to change NOW

The Rams’ offense took over after a defensive stop and on the friendly side of the 2 minute warning. They coughed the ball back up to Brady after about 58 seconds, ahead 13-9. Gashed on the other side in 35 seconds after not allowing TD all day. Just atrocious.

Kendrick had a horrific game against the 9ers. One of the worst we have seen by an individual player in years. Today, he missed several tackles, had 2 DPI’s and got torched all day long. Yet, he is the best CB to be out there against Brady?

#Rams per PFF gave up 12 pressures and 4 sacks. Bobby Evans gave up 6 of those 12 and 3 of the 4 sacks. If he’s starting next week this is a serious problem.
    .
The OL has been better lately. It’s really mainly Bobby Evans. Chandler Brewer – 1 pressure Alaric Jackson – 1 pressure Brian Allen – 2 pressures, 1 sack Rob Havenstein – 2 pressures – Bobby Evans 6 pressures, 3 sacks – Aboushi last week: 0 pressures, 0 sacks (DNP)
