The LA Rams cannot look past the 0-3 New York Giants this Sunday as they look to get back on track after a heartbreaking loss to the Buffalo Bills. The highflying Rams have the number one offense according to Football Outsiders (DVOA), while the Giants are dead last.

Scoring across the NFL is up this year averaging 24.8 points per game. The Rams clock in at 29.7 points per game while the Giants own a miserable 12.7 ppg. The Giants have scored a paltry 38 points and no more than 16 points in any game. Simply put, the Giants offense is horrid.

Meanwhile, the Rams have an extremely balanced offensively killing teams on the ground and through the air. Expect Jared Goff to feast on the Giants questionable secondary and for either Van Jefferson or Josh Reynolds to take advantage of their matchup. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp also factors into this game as he is a slot receiver and the Giants have issues in that area.

In terms of the run attack, Darrell Henderson is a must start this week in fantasy even though the Giants are better against the rush than the pass. The Rams offensive line, currently ranked 11th by Pro Football Focus has excelled at opening lanes against solid defensive lines while Henderson has taken full advantage. Both he and Malcom Brown should reach the 100-yard mark and perhaps we’ll even see UDFA Xavier Jones.

As for the Rams defense, expect Aaron Donald to feast on the woeful Giants offensive line. That unit is ranked second to last and is the reason for their offensive futility. Not even Saquan Barkley could save them. If the underperforming Rams pass rush was to ever step up, this is the game to do it in. Look for Leonard Floyd, Samson Ebukam, Obo Orowonkwo and Jachai Polite to factor into the sacks/hurries/pressures on Giants quarterback, Daniel Jones.

As for Jones, he hasn’t played all that bad. He excels in play action and zone reads so expect to see the Giants scheme some of those play designs.

In the end, the Rams are the better team and the Giants offensive woes will not be corrected this week. Score prediction: Rams 35, Giants 16.
