The LA Rams head to Buffalo for their second consecutive east coast road game in a battle of 2-0 teams. The Rams 5-0 in 1 pm EST games under Sean McVay outsourcing opponents 185-89 and averaging over 30 points per game. Granted, Buffalo is a good football team and Rams just traveled to Philadelphia so this is anything but a sure thing.

The Bills lead the all-time series 7-5 and beat the Rams 30-19 at the Coliseum in 2016. Both teams are evenly matched on both sides of the ball, while the Rams have been tested by two good teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles while the Bills have beaten AFC East cellar dwellers, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

Both quarterbacks, Josh Allen and Jared Goff are off to hot starts and have a host of weapons at their disposal. Allen feasted on the Dolphins secondary last week with over 400 yards passing. Fun fact: the Dolphins secondary is not that good. Allen and receiver Stefon Diggs will face off against all-pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey who has a history with Allen. The Rams secondary have not allowed a touchdown to a wide receiver or tight end in 2020 and will have their work cutout for them against Diggs, Jon Brown and Cole Beasley.

We’ll see if Allen can get the ball downfield as Aaron Donald will be lurking on the other side. The interior of the Bills oline is not a strength so look to AD lining up to the left and right of center often. In fact I predict AD ends up with a sack.

In order for the Rams to emerge victorious, they’ll have to keep doing what’s worked thus far. Establish the run (Rams are third in the NFL in rushing yards), use play-action, move the pocket, use pre- and post-snap motion and get the ball out quickly. It’s that easy!

Also look for Goff to target whoever is matched up against Bills CB Levi Wallace. That could be Van Jefferson, Josh Reynolds or Robert Woods. At the end of the day, the Rams are battle tested and come out of Buffalo with the win.
