    Some big injury news from Rams, from Sean McVay.

    Greg Gaines (hand): Had surgery today. Expected to cast and come back this week.

    Ernest Jones (high left ankle): Surgery. His return TBD. On I/R.

    Darrell Henderson (MCL right knee): On I/R.

    Cam Akers: Chance he plays this week.

    Rookie ILB Ernest Jones suffered a high ankle sprain and will need surgery, per McVay, and will go on at least short-term IR with a chance to return in the playoffs.

    Greg Gaines is having hand surgery today but will cast it up and Sean McVay expects him to play this week.

    Because the lede was inadvertently buried on previous tweet, worth reiterating that Sean McVay says there’s a chance RB Cam Akers returns from a summer Achilles injury this Sunday at Baltimore.

    Well, with Henderson out and Funk worth about 1 carry, seems like having Akers might be more than a luxury.
