Clearly they could not afford to lose their bridge QB to some idiotic team, and tendered him for a nice backup QB rate of less than $4 million. Nothing wrong with that move, really, but there were a lot of folks in the media laughing at them about it like it was a circus move. Meanwhile they ignore the fact that he’s a solid backup caliber QB and he played just as well as some of these clowns who just got huge paydays. But somehow they’re not laughing at those teams, which I personally find annoying. Nothing wrong with paying Brock Osweiler, or even bringing in Chase to Philly to backup Bradford at $7 million per. Whatever.

Keenum really played pretty solid overall. He seemed to get better game by game until regressing vs SF, but in his favor that game they did not have Gurley.

I’ll tell you what… the way this market is IF the Rams hadn’t tendered Case high there’s a good chance someone would have poached him. The league is going insane when it comes to QBs man. He’s younger and better than Fitz in my estimation, which might shock some but when you consider that I see Fitz as a backup who had a freak year it’s not such a reach. But Fitz is going to make a lot more. A whole lot more.

Rams brought back the best player from their defense, and the best player available in FA in my estimation: Barron. Every single game Barron was in after they stuck him near the LOS in that role he absolutely killed it. The dude made flash play after flash play. Several games he was second only to Donald in being the best player on the field for us. It’s crazy how good he played last year.

A couple of years ago, people were panicked over McLeod starting. Many felt the UDFA safety was not good enough. We have a great coaching staff on defense and talented guys. We will be fine at safety.

If Williams didn’t like who they had on hand already there is no way the Rams would have allowed McLeod to walk.

Paying Jenks might have been a big mistake, not gonna know just yet but Gaines is much more disciplined and he was our best corner in 2014. I don’t know if he’ll be back to what he was but Tru, Gaines, and Joyner might be an improvement this year.

And LB… Having Alec all season long is going to be huge. Our defense was completely different early in the season when healthy.

This defense is fast, fast, fast. Key is Alec staying healthy inside, but hey, they might also add a ILB somewhere in this draft.

They had a good day and now can look for FA bargains or go into the draft with their only needs being primarily on offense. Their defense is still loaded.
