    Sean McVay on how Matthew Stafford looked in today’s scrimmage: “I thought he had great energy, great command all day. I thought he threw the ball incredibly accurately, in all parts of the field. Really activated all parts of our pass game.”

    Cool tidbit from scrimmage: The starting safeties requested extra bench because during games they like to huddle together and scout themselves and each others’ previous snaps before coaches bring over the film tablets, and wanted to copy that vibe while second team was in today.

    Matthew Stafford again a full participant for the first-team in today’s scrimmage. McVay said he had “great energy, great command…threw the ball incredibly accurately…Really activated all parts of our pass game.” (Can confirm)

    Jake Funk just blocked a punt, pulled into his chest and took it to the house. Huge celebration from Hoecht and others on special teams.

    Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson both out here working to the side with athletic trainers. With a few weeks left until the opener, I’m not yet overly concerned about either – but certainly something to monitor.

    No surgery needed for DL Bobby Brown, per McVay. He is allowed to rehab on site.

    The soft-tissue injury for Rams RB Cam Akers is not considered serious, I’m told. Rams taking preventative measures by holding him out of preseason practices but that’s the extent of it.
