    Lions’ streak of consecutive quarters with a TD was snapped at 18 in the 4Q vs. Minnesota, one shy of the NFL record held by the 1942 Green Bay Packers. I’m still in awe of how far the offense has come from the mess we were watching throughout last year’s training camp.

    I picked the Lions to win their division.  Just watched the hi-lites of their loss against the Vikings.   Detroit had that game and totally blew it.

    They are an exciting team.   Only weakness Sunday was their run-defense.

    Goff looked good.   Still there is something about Goff’s pocket-presence that is not a match for Stafford.   I cant quite even describe what i am talking about.

    Goff is more mechanical and less resourceful than MS, but then Detroit builds around his strengths plus that great OL. Stafford was always a smart, talented guy who had to learn to carry the Lions year in and year out, and maximize his skills, because most of the time if he couldn’t come through, they had no chance. It’s as if the 75 Rams traded for Archie Manning.

    skip to the bayless segment (cant believe i just typed that) and listen to him give

    the percentages of black coaches and the positions they coach.  Its like, 80 percent of RB coaches are black but 90 percent of QB coaches are white, etc.
