Luck. Wow. He couldn’t grip a football at this time last year. As good as it gets. What a start for Indy.

    Albert Breer@AlbertBreer
Colts offensive line is the key to all this. Group of freaking monsters.

I grew up a KC fan and quietly root for them.

I don’t see them beating Indy.

    Mike Clay@MikeClayNFL
So if the 12-4 Chargers travel all the way to Baltimore and beat the 10-6 Ravens, they get to travel all the way to New England to play the 11-5 Patriots, who will be well rested off a bye thanks to slapping around their weak AFC East opponents. Okay then!

    Gregg Rosenthal@greggrosenthal
Can’t imagine a better Year 1 coaching job than Reich/Eberflus. Journeyman receivers wide open. A brand new defense w no brand names. Totally transformed, on both sides.

    Field Yates@FieldYates
The Colts have: a franchise QB, terrific first year head coach, excellent GM, a roster with no bad contracts, a standout OL, a well-coached defense, draft capital and boat loads of cap space. Primed for a massive run of success.

The last time the State of #Texas hosted 2 playoff games on the same day was Jan. 16, 1994

All 4 QBs are in the @ProFootballHOF

    • Troy Aikman’s #Cowboys beat Brett Favre Packers 27-17 in Dallas

    • Joe Montana’s #Chiefs beat Warren Moon’s #Oilers 28-20 in Houston

Tavon Austin punt return called back for penalty!!!! A story as classic as Hamlet!!

    Nick Wagoner@nwagoner
I wonder if a punt returner has ever had more long returns/TDs called back than Tavon Austin?

Seahawks fans, we’re going to have a long talk about Brian Schottenheimer.
Seattle doesn’t have Blake Bortles or Case Keenum at QB.
    This is Russell Wilson.
    16 Wilson passes @ 8.3 YPA vs
    21 non-Wilson runs @ 2.8 YPC
One of the worst called games w a good QB I can remember.

I’ve never seen a more puzzling game plan in the playoffs where:
•You knew ahead of time they had a good run D
•You have a very good QB
    •He is healthy
    •Game starts & you can’t run
    •The pass game is working
    •You’re losing all 2nd half
•You run early & often in the 2nd half

The fact you didn’t adjust at halftime is inconceivable.

That cost you this game. Russell’s arm could have won it. Pete, Brian: it’s on you. Sorry

I don’t know how much better @DangeRussWilson could have played today. His accuracy down the field was insane. …without explosives & dimes to Tyler and Doug that game turns ugly

    Dan Orlovsky@danorlovsky7
I’ll say it again-@DangeRussWilson is one of the most special QB’s in the #NFL and the best 3rd down QB in the league-and his play-caller, in the playoffs, took him from Picasso to a 3-year old finger painter over 3+ hours. INSANE. #NFLWildCard #SEAvDAL

    Benjamin Allbright@AllbrightNFL
Brian Schottenheimer was so conservative he made Marty Schottenheimer look like Mike Martz

Better coached teams that dominated the trenches are 2-0 in playoffs so far. Expect that to continue today.

I’m happy for Dak. Dude takes a lot of flak but goes about it the right way and finds a way to win. A lot.

I guess people didn’t watch the @Seahawks all season. They played EXACTLY how they played all season on offense. The ran on 51% of their offensive plays during regular season.. That’s how they won in 2012-2014 and it’s what Pete wanted to get back to in 2018. That’s who they are

A decade ago, Matt Nagy was selling houses after the Arena League folded. Look at him now.

The Chargers will be the first team to face Lamar Jackson twice.

I would say this game is a defensive struggle but the defenses really aren’t struggling at all. They are dominating

    Bucky Brooks@BuckyBrooks
Playoff pressure can be overwhelming for young players. Everything happens so much faster than the regular seasons.. The key for BAL is to stay close enough while No.8 shakes the butterflies and settles in.. That’s why the 1st Q is critical for young QB.. Think about HOU-IND

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson scrambled on two called passes for a total of 32 yards. Outside of those two plays, Baltimore has 37 yards on 22 plays and a single first down.

For those of you that are watching football for the first time today, that is called a touchdown. It is worth 6 points.

I’ll say it again… not “Same Old Chargers” and today is another great example. Chargers fans know better than anyone historically this is a game they lose. This team is different. Credit my guy Anthony Lynn.

    Bucky Brooks@BuckyBrooks
No excuses.. No.8 hasn’t played well but I also know that it takes awhile for young players to adjust to playoff games. We saw Watson struggle yesterday and we will see others. It’s part of the process. Baker, Darnold, Allen and Rosen will eventually get their shots and well see

    Matt Waldman@MattWaldman
Confused and overwhelmed OL and prevented Jackson from getting many looks beyond one read.

Gotta love Lamar Jackson’s mental toughness. Challenge ahead for him is similar to Tim Tebow’s coming out of 2011. They built an offense for him, NFL will catch up to it, and he has to keep evolving. Tebow couldn’t. We’ll see if Lamar can.

    Evan Silva@evansilva
Fun late rally but painful game by #Ravens

So many penalties, turnovers, mental mistakes
Out-coached by #Chargers, especially by DC Gus Bradley
    Brutal decision to settle for 50-yard FG on 4th & 1 in 3rd Q
Chargers scored game-deciding TD on ensuing drive
    Ravens deserved to lose

    NFL Research@NFLResearch
The #Chargers are 0-7 against Tom Brady and the Patriots, including playoffs, since Philip Rivers became the starter in 2006

Rivers’ lone career win vs NE came in 2008 against the Matt Cassel-led #Patriots

They travel to New England next Sunday

That’s the fourth straight game with a pick for Foles, most of which have been head scratchers.

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
Throwing into an area where there are four guys from the other team and one guy from your team is never a good idea

    Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Chargers utilized 7 defensive backs on 58 of their 59 defensive snaps Sunday, per NFL Next Gen Stats. They used 7 defensive backs 50 times in the regular season, which accounted for just 5% of their snaps. No team had used 7 DBs on more than 18 snaps in a game this season.

I believe it was Bill Cowher on the CBS pregame who said “your strengths get you into the playoffs and your weaknesses get you out”. Never heard it before but man it’s so true. Ravens offense, Bears kicking game + offense and Seahawks conservative play calling.

When you think about in every wildcard matchup the Oline that played the best won every game. Oline the real skilled position!

    Rob Maaddi@RobMaaddi
Aaron Donald (20.5), J.J. Watt (16), Khalil Mack (12.5) combined for 49 sacks this season. ZERO vs. the #Eagles
