Just watched the @RamsNFL film from TNF – the scheme is simple yet complex at the same time (Can that be?)… speaks to one philosophy that u don’t have to do more, if u can make everything you do look a like… oh, AND DO IT WELL! #GoffThrowingDimesDoesntHurt

Reviewing this one the first time I was amazed at how many accurate passes Cousins was able to deliver under pressure. Also, how lucky are we that we have had an all-time great DL from 2012 to now? Watt 2012-2015, Donald 2015-now. Watt has looked good in every game this year too

Drew Brees (71,523) can break the all-time passing yards record of 71,940 set by Peyton Manning with 418 when the New Orleans Saints travel to face the New York Giants. Brees would pass Brett Favre for second all-time with 316 yards as well. So here comes history….

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has proclaimed wide receiver Doug Baldwin, who missed the past two weeks with a Grade 2 MCL sprain, good to go for Sunday’s game vs. Arizona.

Top three passer ratings in the NFL right now …

    1. Patrick Mahones
    2. Jared Goff
    3. Ryan Fitzpatrick

    … just like we expected.

    FootballOutsiders notes on LAR-MIN

    https://www.footballoutsiders.com/clutch-encounters/2018/clutch-encounters-min-lar%5DFootballOutsiders%5B

Los Angeles was historically explosive in this game. The Rams became only the second offense since the 1970 merger to average better than 10 yards per play on at least 50 plays. They had 55 plays for 556 yards (10.1 yards per play). That hasn’t been done since Joe Namath’s Jets averaged 10.6 yards per play in a monumental shootout with Johnny Unitas and the Colts in 1972.

The Rams were so good at big plays that they piled up 556 yards and 38 points despite going 1-of-6 on third down. This is only the third time since 1991 where an offense had over 500 yards without having multiple third-down conversions, according to Pro Football Reference. In the second and third quarters, Goff had his six biggest completions (70, 56, 47, 36, 31, and 27 yards). There’s no need for third down when chunks are coming like that.

Since there’s no #LARams game today, a note from Thursday night: First time in franchise history 3 WRs had 100-yards receiving in the same game. (Source: Elias) https://www.instagram.com/p/BoWhAkpHYWE/?utm_source=ig_twitter_share&igshid=1arnf8gkpvv

It’s actually the fifth time in Rams franchise history w/ 3 x 100-yds receiving (more than any other NFL team). But each other time, it was 2 WRs + 1 RB. And Gurley was one good swing pass from getting 100 yards receiving himself! #StepIntoTheSpotlight

Jared Goff threw for 465 yards, 5 TDs with a perfect passer rating and isn’t a lock to win Player of the Week

Khalil Mack has singlehandedly made the Bears into a contender, and has singlehandedly made the Raiders into not a contender.

And Earl Thomas is down and getting carted off with a cast. Exactly why he wanted to get paid. And why no one — NO ONE — should criticize a player wanting to get his when he can.

The last image of Earl Thomas in a Seahawks uniform might be the middle-finger gesture that the star safety gave as he was being taken off the field on a cart. Pete Carroll called Thomas’ leg injury a fracture, which will likely end his season and potentially his career in Seattle. That’s why Frank Clark said it feels like the Seahawks were the losers even though they scored a dramatic 20-17 win over Arizona on a last-second field goal by Sebastian Janikowski. They’re now 2-2 heading into next week’s home game against the unbeaten Rams. But whatever hope there was of the Seahawks competing for a playoff spot will take a hit without Thomas, a defensive pillar and the last remaining original member of their Legion of Boom secondary.

#Seahawks star S Earl Thomas suffered a clean, lower leg break but no ligament damage and no displacement, source said. Not nearly as bad as a ligament tear would’ve been. He should be 100% by the Super Bowl… and free agency.

One of the biggest disappointments this season has to be the Eagles offensive line. It just hasn’t played well.

    Highlights from Bears/Bucs.

Look at how wide open the Bears receivers are on these plays.

Yeah, Tribiski played well but that was more about the Bucs defense being really bad than anything else.
