The L.A. Rams are trading the No. 26 overall pick and a third-round selection (No. 101) to the Atlanta Falcons for a second round pick (No. 46 overall), a seventh round pick (No. 242) and a 2026 first round selection.

I’m taking this one. Great move, imo. Great leverage next year. And now was the time to do it. Not a lot of blue chips in this draft, and the Rams don’t have a gaping hole they have to fill. They have needs, but nothing they had to reach for. I’m very happy about this

There are a lot of players they liked in R2 and lacked a pick there from last year’s trade up for Fiske. This was one of a couple strategies entering today

    Officially: LAR sends 26 and 101 to Atlanta, and receives 46, 242 and a 2026 first-round pick.

Matthew Stafford is on year to year terms. Rams wanted a second rounder this year, too.

The Rams traded pick #26 and #101 to Raheem Morris and the Falcons. That #101 pick was a comp pick that was awarded to the Rams once Raheem was hired with Atlanta.

Hmm. I guess the Rams liked Dart, or at least it seems that way since they were quick to trade out after the Giants moved up in front of them. I love that the Rams have two first rounders next year.

Another possibility is that the Rams wanted a 2026 1st rounder and NYG was not willing to do that

Rams just got a huge bounty for some magic beans.

Rams made out like bandits, getting another 1 in 2026 along with a second-rounder this year.

I’m guessing they’d trade out even if Dart was still there. They really have 15 to 20 players rated about the same and they don’t have any specific need, then they essentially traded a third round pick this year for a first round pick next year. Sounds good to me.

Perhaps the humidity dropped to move around and get the quarterback they want next year? Let’s hope Atlanta goes zero and 17 next year. 🙂

Les Snead just confirmed the Rams tried to trade up but teams were “asking too much”

I heard some expert dude yakking in a radio interview this morning, talking about QBs, and his opinion was that Dart had a modest ceiling. Like…he might be a decent starting QB, but nothing special. I think it was arm strength. In any event, I’ve also heard next year is stronger with QBs, so the Rams have something to package to move up to get a guy. Next year seems like better timing anyway, because I think Stafford has 2-3 years left at a high level of play.

    I like it.

So trying to wrap my head around this one…

If you contemplate the RD1 (#26) this year for the RD1 (#??) next year are kind of a wash (although it requires patience and the meh draft class this year), just getting a #46 and #242 for a #101 this year is a huge win. That’s a big value for the Rams and it potentially stacks the Rams next year in the 1st round with better options.

Suppose that’s how I will look at it, although I lack patience. 🙂

Sounds like a perfect fit at QB for the Giants. lol

The Rams have morphed in three years from "fuck them picks!" to "fuck! them picks!"

Here's where the Falcons have ranked in sack rate each year since 2018:2018 262019 282020 262021 322022 322023 192024 31Don't think paying ~$1.62 on the dollar by the Jimmy Johnson chart to get a second edge rusher in Round 1 is good business. But they may have been driven insane.

Falcons trade up was just brutal. Team has an unknown at QB, which means the downside risk is substantial — exactly when you don't want to give up a future first if you don't have to.Also: Green/Ezeiruaku still on the board! Pearce wasn't even last edge.

What in the world are the Falcons doing??GREAT trade for the Rams! Tremendous flexibility to potentially find Stafford's successor in next year's draft. Two first-round picks in 2026. That Falcons pick is high variance — could be really high!

You have to respect the Rams. Every year, they rent the biggest, most extravagant place to draft from. And every year, they do their best to not draft until the second day. They just want to have a good time and enjoy the space

The Rams move back from 26 to 46 and stay in a good value position in this draft class. They receive a 2026 first round pick which allows them to be competitive and gives them ammo to move up next year if needed for a QB. Les Snead cooked.
