    This blew my mind:

Initially, the case also included Florida-based publisher Moon Rocks Books, but the principal officer of the company, Dave Gahary, settled the case following a May deposition with Pozner.

“I looked him in the eyes, listened to his testimony, had frank discussions about our respective concerns, and, in the end, shook his hand,” Gahary said in a statement on Monday.

“My face-to-face interactions with Mr. Pozner have led me to believe that Mr. Pozner is telling the truth about the death of his son. I extend my most heartfelt and sincere apology to the Pozner family,” he said, also offering his condolences.

Gahary agreed to stop publishing future editions of the book and to stop selling it entirely by the end of the month.

The man who published the book actually BELIEVED that the whole damn thing was a hoax until he LOOKED A FATHER WHO LOST HIS CHILD IN THE EYE and then realized it wasn’t a joke?

Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised that Trump was elected in the first place and may be elected again. Talk about the dumbing down of America…

We use American cheese, white bread (organic preferred) and real butter.

The wife likes them like that with a cup of soup and a few slices of cucumber pickles.

I like the same recipe, but also include thin sliced tomato and garlic powder into the sandwich. Kind of a pizza grilled cheese.

Ha! Good times, good times. The actual Wikipedia quote is a lot worse than you made it out to be:

He was later suspended for 6 games by the Buffalo Bills after punching a child in the face, throwing his fishing pole in the lake, then threatening to kill his entire family.

Kind of sounds like a Fisher hire.

Ahhh, but he is going to point to the economy and say, “It’s never been better; it’s all because of me.” and that goes a long, long way with his base.
I think he is going to win again, gods help us all…

Most people only eat fried calamari. I prefer my squid sautéed in a nice Fra Diavolo sauce over angel hair.

There is a lot we don’t know about giant squid, but we do know that Sperm Whales find them very tasty.

    Interesting, thanks for posting.

The whole debate about what to call it reminds me of a RAW quote: “The map is not the terrain”.

We are wired to label things and simplify things because of the limited language we have to describe them. It can be a type of self-hypnosis: “This is dark matter at work”. Once you put that “is” out there, you have already put it in a box. Maybe if we try and use “might be” in place of “is”, we’d get more thinking and less labelling.

Another important point Wilson would make over and over: try your best to replace the word “all” with “some but not all”. Very important, especially in this day and age…

    From Wikipedia:

The Saturday after Cohen’s death, which was also the Saturday after Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 United States presidential election, Saturday Night Live aired a cold open in which Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton sang selected verses from “Hallelujah” while playing the piano

I remember the opening, but I guess there was so much noise regarding the election, I didn’t know that Cohen had passed.

I’m concerned we are at (yet another) tipping point. We need to vote Trump out in 2020. Whether he leaves will be another question…

For me personally, it sticks in my craw. I work from a home office in CT, but I am up in North Shore MA at least two days a week, and all my fellow employees are typical Boston sports fans.
It doesn’t help that I am also a Yankees fan (lost to the Red Sox in the first round) and a New York Rangers fan (way fewer points than the Bruins at this point of the season). Actually, I probably take more shit for being a Yankees fan than anything else.
Anyway, I think (hope) that making the Super Bowl was a very good thing for this young team and young head coach and good things will follow.

I think Keenum would be a great replacement for Mannion. I think he was a mentor at some level to Goff. Maybe again?

I HOPE this was a learning experience for the coach and the QB. I HOPE we’re back to that game in the near future. I HOPE Son of Bum is in for the long term.

Disappointed. Especially since I now have to buy lunch for like 10 people I placed a bet with in Boston.
I hope we get back to the SB soon, but few teams have been able to repeat except one…

D was good. We’ll see what happens in the off season.

Remind me again, did we trade Chris Long or just let him walk? What did we use the savings on?

Would have been so cool if he was still a Ram and playing today…

I expect to see a young QB in the biggest game of his life.

(at least I hope to see it, just had another 2 second power outage…)

If it seems like he is in over his head, it is going to up to the coaching staff to get him though it. Maybe one big screw up (int of fumble), but bailed out by the D.

Wow, that is funny. My daughter bought the novel for my son for Christmas, and he promptly forgot it in the car when we moved him back to Boston. I’m going to see him tomorrow for dinner and a frozen food drop off, so he’s getting his book!

Whose bright idea was it to do a remake of Dune? Say what you will about the David Lynch movie, it definitely had its moments. I especially like Sting chewing on the scenery….
