joemadParticipantFOX and Friends are dissecting 20 secs of Bill Maher’s 5 minute segment on the “fly over” issue….
joemadParticipantWe didn’t get to see this in California , nor any of the other late night comics, because of the N. Korean emergency press conference that was conveniently scheduled at 11:30 PM PDT, (2:30 AM EDT). I purposely tuned in to watch the late night comics (Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert etc) that night to rip on this hearing, but instead the TV was flooded DT’s press conference….
In regards to Reich’s tweet that Cohen stated that Trump won’t have “a peaceful transition in 2020″…. Bill Maher has been predicting that ever since Trump has been elected… Maher thinks Trump will squat in the WH if DT loses in 2020. (Bill Maher also predicted that DT could win 2016 when there was 20 Republican candidates running for the 2016 primaries, no one in their right mind gave Trump a chance back then)
A very Bizarro world right now…….this is like a Batman episode from the 60’s with comic book characters in the WH… (BTW, doesn’t Roger Stone look like Frank Gorshin’s version of the Riddler, only not as likeable? Gorshin was my favorite Batman villain, much better than Gomez from the Adams Family…)
But this time, I think Trump is going to jail… on the same chargers as Manafort, Alderman, and this guy Cohen, (falsifying bank statements)
joemadParticipantRight on….
joemadParticipantThe only reason to do that is that you think Bernie is Too Radical, and you want Bernie Lite because you fear Bernie is too radical. Or you like the Radical, but think somebody else is a better Bernie than Bernie is.
You missed one… people think he’s too old…. and he kind of is…. 77
and that’s too bad
joemadParticipantListen. Your bitterness and envy have left your soul a mere cinder. I see it all the time.
years ago, right before Kobe’s and Shaq’s divorce, I went on an anti Laker tirade oh the herd board .. Unglate (RIP) replied, “let me guess,……. you ‘re either a bitter Warriors or Kings fan….which one? ”
truth be told when the NBA only marketed two teams in the 80’s, I rooted against Boston and cheered for Kurt Rambis…..
BTW The Lakers will be stuck at 16 for a very long time and experience a longer drought than the Dodgers…….
joemadParticipantBecause the Lakers are the only team in the NBA that actually matters.
Dude, Paula Abdul is no longer a cheerleader, Jack Nicholson and Diane Cannon no longer have their butts in the Forum….
Dr Buss is dead and so are the Lakers.. they won’t even make the 8th seed this year……
without searching DUCK DUCK GO, Does anyone even know the name of the current Laker Head Coach? I’ll give you a clue, he was a Warrior assistant and his dad won a ring as a back up center vs Paula Abdul;’s showtime team……
BTW I do hope the Lakers make the 8th seed so the Warriors can sweep them…….. these are not Chris Mullens nor Sleepy Floyd’s Warrior teams….
joemadParticipantJimmy Dore, he’s blunt and funny…. I want him to cover the Rams….
“(at MSNBC) I had to have two conservatives on for every liberal…”
Phil Donahue”””To this point… I think all shows should be held to a similar counterpoint standard, not 2:1, but at least 1:1… you never have a counterpoint view on Conservative AM talk show radio. Just some guy preaching right wing prop without any counter voice or opinion or damn, just for fact checking……. It’s amazing.
February 6, 2019 at 11:05 am in reply to: do you have doubts about Goff? cause this is a continuing issue in Ramsland #97875joemadParticipantI just don’t see that as “genius” on behalf of the other team, and I think the Rams’ lost the Super Bowl. The Pats didn’t win it, IMO.
Correct, that game was there to be taken, and the Rams just couldn’t grasp it…
it was a 1 possession game for 59 minutes, 3-3 tie with 10:00 left to play… as bad as the offense struggled there was little doubt in my mind that the Rams were going to win…… but after Goff’s pick, you can only ask the defense to do so much to hold New England from scoring a TD…
That was a very competitive ball game…..
The question is Gurley… what it is up with Todd? Is he becoming a “Tre Mason” (mentally)….. he hasn’t been the same since McVay gave the 1st game ball to CJ Anderson after the Dallas game…(2nd game ball went to Gurley)
February 6, 2019 at 10:49 am in reply to: do you have doubts about Goff? cause this is a continuing issue in Ramsland #97872joemadParticipantafter starting 0-7, Goff has gone 24-7 (24-14) career with 2 playoff wins and 2 playoff losses.
Goff has consistently shown growth….
not many could pull off what Goff did in New Orleans and if Cooks makes those 2 catches in the endzone during the Super Bowl…. the Rams win.
I’m very happy with Goff….
joemadParticipantToo bad Goff and Cooks didn’t connect in the endzone….they had 2 golden opportunities…….
Oh well, great season.
I love this team..
joemadParticipantIt was a throw up the left sideline, which Goff put in the perfect spot for a 36-yard gain. The Rams scored on a 6-yard touchdown run by Todd Gurley on the following play, with just 23 seconds remaining in the first half as the Rams cut the Saints’ lead to 13-10.
It was beautiful…. what is going unsung on this play (end of 1st half drive) is the RAM defense…. they sacked Brees on back to back plays late in the 1st half to get the ball back….
In addition, Brees didn’t complete a pass in OT, I think the only yardage the Saints earned in OT was aided by a PI call in OT>
Goff was clutch, he delivered when the defense gave him the ball back in these crucial instances: right before halftime, at the end of regulation, and in OT…..
January 28, 2019 at 12:05 pm in reply to: the non-call issue continues & has earned another thread #97414joemadParticipantofficiating wasn’t better in the past…….. it was less scrutinized and reviewed with technology that is outdated…….. today’s video HD technology and camera angles gives us views we never had in the past… it doesn’t mean that officiating is worse today than it was in the past… it’s most like better….
BTW, the Saints were not flagged for a penalty until there was 5:39 remaining in the 3rd qtr…. New Orleans ended up being penalized only 3 times in a game that had more than 4 qtrs of football…..
joemadParticipantGoff is an ok QB. He doesn’t have the escape factor that Mahommes does.
This guy didn’t watch the game last week….
Watch Goff’s last two drives from last Sunday in New Orleans…
joemadParticipantSuh deserves special recognition.
He has been their best player since the playoffs began.
Shame he didn’t play with this intensity all year,
but if he can help the Rams defeat Emporer Belicheck and Darth Brady, all will be forgiven.
Check out what Eric Mangini said about this at the 3:28 Mark.
This segment was last week after the Dallas game…… “high priced FA’s make business decisions to save themselves for the playoffs” …..
January 22, 2019 at 8:25 am in reply to: Gurley gets emotional after NFC Championship win | Jan 20, 2019 #97096joemadParticipantHas anyone heard the latest on Gurley?
Is he ok? … both physically and mentally?
Was he overwhelmed by the magnitude of the game??
joemadParticipantCorrect I agree …. most RAMS fans
Most fans “Here” = the fine folks of our message board…
BTW just watched Steve Buerline regarding the game and he agrees with most fans “here” too…
joemadParticipantHappy Birthday RM!
joemadParticipantBut that non-call screwed that up a bit for me
It all evens out in the end…. Tom Mack did not move on Alan Page in the 1974 NFC Championship game….BTW, I think the Saints were only flagged twice today…
joemadParticipantHolding the Saints to six points on their first two possessions went a long way.
Unbelievable game!
January 17, 2019 at 1:04 pm in reply to: Nine quarterbacks likely available to NFL teams in 2019, and the teams that need #96819joemadParticipantOther prominent quarterbacks to monitor: Blake Bortles, Sam Bradford, Jacoby Brissett, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Colin Kaepernick, Tyrod Taylor
Bradford delegated to “Others”
I think Sam is better than most of the “supply side” qb’s listed in the article…..
From what Mannion has shown in games, the Rams need a back up for Goff…
January 13, 2019 at 5:23 pm in reply to: Louie Tee 2019 | Cowboys vs. Rams | Breakdown & React LIVE! #96598joemadParticipantjoemadParticipantgurley 16 carries for 115 yards.
in 2 postseason games, 30 carries for 216 yards and a 7.2 average per carry.
Rams had 48 rushing attempts against Dallas yesterday
Last year’s playoff game vs ATL they had 16 total rushing attempts
https://nflcdns.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/57828/LA_Gamebook.pdf
joemadParticipantIt didn’t have to be that close…. but that was a good playoff game
The better team won
GO RAMS!!!!!!
joemadParticipantSorry to hear ZN
Never easy to lose a pet.
joemadParticipantBTW the Bears should’ve signed Cairo Santos…
joemadParticipantI agree I think the Rams would blow out the Bears
Cowboys more dynamic but they’re down a WR.
Tavon homecoming?
